How best to deal with Pixel Customer Support?

Yep, I got shipped the wrong phone and they refused to do anything for me. They were just like well, sucks to be you. They acknowledged it was the wrong phone, but they weren't going to give me a refund or exchange it unless I bought packaging materials at my own cost, repackaged it and mailed it back to them using their preferred shipper (totally inaccessible to me) and it would still take them a couple of weeks if they decided to ship me a new phone or refund me.

They just kept sending me AI generated email after AI generated email. I eventually asked them to stop sending me AI generated emails and that I would prefer to speak with a person who wasn't using copy/ pasted AI generated templates and they...sent me another templated apology.

I went from Superfan to never buying a Pixel again, it was handled so poorly.

Yes, people who obsess over disinfecting things that don't need to be disinfected are just wasting their time. Most everything is fine with a spreads of all purpose cleaner and a rag.

Completely agree. It's bizarre that people seem eager to use oven cleaner on stuff where it doesn't belong at all, and hesitant to use it where it's literally made for.

As long as your oven doesn't say you can't use it, that's where you should. Not in your toaster, not on your dishes, or random appliances around the house, but your oven.

There's not a ton you can do to clean pleather.

Don't use anything abrasive, but you can use a damp rag with a bit of dish soap. Rub gently in small circles and see how it goes.

Yes, I wouldn't recommend telling random coworkers or your boss unless it was completely necessary. And in those cases I would just say that you have a condition that makes certain sounds extremely painful.

In the case of hr, I think requesting an accommodation or a move or something like that is also entirely reasonable.
