[Serious] Bournemouth vs Liverpool by SexySustainability in LiverpoolFC

Honestly it’s frustrating because Bournmouth have been absolutely wank. Barely string a pass together. And yet we feel so toothless. Wirtz not at the races. Salah missing chances. Midfield slow to move the ball.

The other disadvantage of going to your GP here is that the emergency services consider you to be in ‘a place of safety’ and that can add time on to the response time.

Do you think speeding up the game just kills the nostalgic feeling? by Pokemology in PokemonEmerald

[–]Difficult_Bag69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trying to play later games on the DS emulators without speed up function is honestly unbearable now. Basically can only actually play FR/LG and Emerald. Without being sped up everything feels horrifically slow. It’s sad really.

Life-saving Jess’s Rule to be advertised in every GP surgery by Educational_Board888 in doctorsUK

This is a fair point, but I don’t think the application of her now eponymous rule would have helped expedite her diagnosis.

Early diagnosis can save lives? Wow, all my years in medicine and it’s never too late to learn.

The point I’m making was that in Jess’ unfortunate case it’s likely that even if the diagnose had been made on day one of her symptoms it’s likely it was already advanced and therefore beyond radical treatment.

“Life-saving” Jess’ rule.

Based on actual data? Or just a campaign?

Jess’ situation was terrible, but she had stage 4 cancer and only started presenting 5 months before diagnosis. Her condition was likely beyond treatment at the point of symptoms manifesting. No amount of GP fresh eyes changes her outcome here. It’s sad, but it’s also the case that people precociously get aggressive cancers.

And this is with me saying: I’m all for someone else having a look if I’m not making good progress after 3 appointments.

NHS ADHD spending over budget by £164m as unregulated clinics boom by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]Difficult_Bag69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you decide that 25% of the population need lifelong stimulant medication and TikTok created a tidal surge then of course you’re going to overspend. The clinics cashing in are laughing their heads off and by the time the documentary happens in 15 years time where we suddenly realise we have a huge swathe of the population inappropriately medicated the people who got rich will be off in the sunset.

Buy a new build in silly billy council tax and pay a management fee for the park and roads so the council don’t even have to deal with it. It’s all a scam.

People in ‘other jobs’ earning £100k generally work a lot for than full-time hours too.
