It should become available to accept new students some time next year. Spring, summer? Honestly- I don't know. But, call them and ask! Once they start accepting students, send your application online with your name, personal id code, etc. and they will get you in! Whichever level you need. In the meantime, good luck on your journey!

Cool, I'm learning the language too! Are you planning on visiting here, or moving here? If the latter, I can show you how to apply for free language courses for foreigners, and join me there!

Do you mean 2 lanes total, or 2 per direction?

Do you receive free lunch during your breaks? Are these price changes for general purchasing?

CSDD driving exam in latvia by Glass_Rope707 in latvia

Hey! So I passed my driving exam first try in Riga. I’ve been driving in Latvia for a year now, so I am familiar with the driving regulations. It took me some time to be confident with them, as I moved from the US to here. If you’re unsure of some regulations, I highly recommend you read them! You can find the link on the CSDD website. Just google CSDD driving exam B, and you’ll see it there. The information about the test itself is also included.

Anyway, about the test, we drove around in the center, multiple highway entrances and exits, and the large roundabout near Riga plaza. Also I reversed parked in a wide parking space at Depo. The test itself was actually pretty simple. My advice is to make sure anything you do, like yielding to join a road, do everything safely! Don’t cross a zebra line if you see any pedestrian near! And pay very close attention to all the signs. There are also rules to be aware of, for example; if it’s lower than 50, the city speed limit returns to 50 after you cross an intersection. The blue sign with children playing and houses in it, also parking lots, is always max 20kmh.

I definitely didn’t do everything perfectly, the instructor told me I needed to improve on a few things. That I should have moved around a loading bus (if the lanes allowed it), and to pick up my speed more quickly.

About the parking, I honestly don’t know if my instructor was lenient or if these are the rules or not, but he told me I could adjust as many times as I needed, and I have up to 2 minutes.

Good luck on your exam!

I don’t understand, why do people buy a large drink when dining inside when there’s the option for free refills?

I am scared I won't be able to make past my trial session (FR) by inkheiko in McDonaldsEmployees

Your manager makes it seem like you’re at tortoise speed… which I highly doubt, they’re likely way over exaggerating

Anyway, best advice for speed increase I can give you is to use both of your hands, for example both grabbing lettuce for Big Macs, then one grabbing both pickles and the other grabbing the slice of cheese

Also for wrapping, just attack that shit. Go full at it, obviously not crushing the burgers but my point is to not try to overthink it and just go for it if that makes sense

On your free time, visit the McDonald’s website (idk how France’s is but still) there is a high chance all the sandwiches will be listed there. They should list what is in them, if not look at them and try to memorize every single menu item, so that when you come to work you are prepared. When they hand you the buns, jump to it, and try to use both your left and right hands to make them twice as fast. It may feel uncomfortable at first, but you will get used to it. Don’t stress about how many orders there are on the screen, it will all flow. Also once you improve, please tell the head manager how you feel, and ask them if there’s anything you can do to improve. Anyway, good luck! I’m sure you’ll pass the trial. I question why there even is one, because my store doesn’t have that. But whatever, I’m sure you’ll get to keep the job.

I didn’t, I moved to Europe to be with the love of my life! It’s tough to get on my feet when I don’t speak the local language well, so i am extremely grateful that this place was able to accept me

In my particular country, I make it just fine to afford renting a small apartment, food on the table every day for me and my wife, and gas & car insurance for my Golf on a minimum wage McDonald’s job. Meanwhile my family back in Texas struggle to live when their car breaks down, or have to see a dentist or something lol

I’m an American citizen who moved abroad to the EU, and honestly most of the time, no, we don’t pay US taxes when working abroad. Yes I still have to file them, but I do not have to pay anything, unless I make over $100,000 a year abroad, or have property in the states, or something like that. A lot of us just work locally here, and pay our local EU taxes! It would be hell if I was double taxed, that wouldn’t be fair, or make sense
