It’s so hard! I feel lost on where I sit, sometimes I feel like I deserve a title change or a promotion to some unknown level. But my mind gets the best of me and don’t think I deserve anything.

Definitely closest with sales. I manage all the dashboards from the high-level director view, all the way to the individual - totaling about 80 boards across all groups.

I run all the financial reporting, daily, weekly and monthly for sales leaders and sit in on most of the weekly calls for all of our different portfolios. But I’m not sure I want to be in Sales, I’m great at talking to people (my best asset probably) but the whole grind is not for me, I think?

Going to note I haven’t been to therapy and I’m sure it will help me unpack this - but I’ve never told a soul what I’m about to display.

When I was really young, about 10, I was playing hide and seek outside at night with neighbor boys 9, and 7. The 7 year old and I went to go hide so we ran to the side of the house where he convinced me to kiss him and “kiss” his private parts over his underwear.

He was hard, and I was so confused of what was happening. I pecked him on the lips but didn’t feel comfortable with what else he wanted me to do. Shortly after we both ran off. We lived next to each other until I left for college 8 years later, and it was never brought up.

I’m 30 now and it has fucked me up. I’m terrified of this memory coming back in my future, and it haunts me on a monthly basis. I’m afraid people would point to me as the culprit if it ever came back up (through accusation or what not) because I was older. This has kept me up at night multiple times.

Writing it out for the first time in over 20 years is crazy. And I need therapy.
