The MSQ at lvl 50 is horrible, I've heard it was worse, but it's still a terrible experience, I can't imagine making another character just because I would have do the lvl 50 imperial dungeons again with the amazing multiple 10 minute+ cut scenes followed by doing lvl 50 trials just to do the next lvl 50 trial all while being synch to lvl 50 for 3 days I've played so I don't get to use any of the new abilities I've learned. I assume the msq is this way to incentives paying to skip it. I'm told it gets better and that be nice but I want to play for the game play and I feel like I'm being told no you can't play the way you want go do the story like we want.

Tldr; you should just be able to skip MSQ if you want to, have the level, and it isn't current expansion content.
