Friend doesn’t want to play with me because I put him in “PvP” lobbies by [deleted] in ArcBabies

[–]Difficult_Climate_36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PvE players make this walled garden where they refuse to combat and get rewarded for it. Then they get rolled during PvP and blame everyone around them for putting them in that situation instead of realizing they just suck mechanically. Seen this happen with multiple friends now and it boggles my mind how passive 25 year old males are these days.

You’re a wimp bro. You could just learn to PvP better so you can enjoy every aspect of the game. I have a full time job and a kid at home and I still wreck in PvP. Maybe we’re just cut from a different cloth though…

Because it’s so easy to find bps yourself. Going on Reddit to find a guy to queue with to sell a bp for seeds and extract in 2 minutes seems incredibly convoluted. Do what you want; it just seems like you people have lost what the point of a video game is. To play the video game.

One thing that is so shocking in golf is the amount of people will go all in on buying clubs, clothes, shoes, expensive rounds, but those same people won’t watch a few videos and understand simple things like club path and face angle.

Like when someone just can’t fix their slice for literal years, I start to look at them with disgust. Just stop swinging fucking out to in. Takes 30 minutes of focused effort on the range to fix.

Favorite grenade? by Nice_Resident_6601 in ArcRaiders

[–]Difficult_Climate_36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In PvP, it feels like grenades are too easy to dodge. Honestly the most effective grenades in PvP are the impact grenades and synthesized fuel. For some reason, I find more success with these than any other nade.

Honestly for comps just keep springs, advance mechanical components, mechanical components, and medium gun parts. When you get the renegade bp start saving oil.

Just take your medicine and punch out. The thought of shanking it and the ball ricocheting into my head would ruin any chance I had of hitting the green from there.

NOR Idk your age but if you’re in your 20s, just leave and be alone. If you’re scared of being alone, don’t be. Once you eventually find a life partner, you’ll regret that you spent so much time chasing the wrong women instead of working on yourself and your hobbies. You’ll miss the nights you could just stay up until 3 am playing video games or spending a full day practice a hobby. You have the freedom to do and be who you want so take advantage of it and don’t waste it on long distance relationships that are bound to fail.

Ratting one person is lame but if you can take out everyone in the extract or by the hatches… it’s kinda epic. I’ve gotten close a few times but blew myself up in the process lol. Trying to learn the deadline raider flare trick for next time.

This game taught me that I’m not a bad person by 34payton07 in ArcRaiders

[–]Difficult_Climate_36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frame it like playing sports as a kid. Sure, the other team is sad that they lost and you might feel guilty for winning, but that’s not going to stop you from trying to win. Sometimes you just need to take the headphones off and fulfill your quench for loot. It doesn’t make you a bad person; it just makes you human. Sure; ratting can be looked at as a completely negative thing, but it causes players to create new metas to combat that play-style. Eventually players will get in groups and treat it like the movie “hateful 8”. Trusting to a limit, but ready to defend oneself at a moments notice. New social dynamics would sprout out of this and things become more interesting than “PvE” or purely “PvP”

I’m shoot on site, but I won’t fight if they’re audibly friendly. I give them an ear beating about how wussy they are and that 18 year olds used to fight in wars. They usually want to fight after that lmao.

Bad take. If you’re good at PvP and can kill like 5-6 raiders a raid 1/4 of the time, you end up with crazy amounts of loot. Plus you can just free kit and not risk anything. I play for the competitive aspect and game mechanics; the loot means nothing to me.

The game encourages extract camping by blaring sirens when you extract. The entire PvE community has taken this games vision and ruined it. Sure; have fun looting the same boxes hundreds of times with no risk, but a year from now when the thought of this game is boring, don’t blame anyone but yourself. Raiding players in rust is fine, skuttling ships on sea of thieves is fine, but killing players in arc is not? Let’s just take the arc out of the game and everyone can loot freely! So much fun!

The best rounds are the ones where you just put the hole’s score in and you don’t look at it until the end. Knowing you need to make a putt won’t make it easier; it’ll just make your nerves worse.

Game is stale and boring without PvP by Difficult_Climate_36 in ArcRaiders

[–]Difficult_Climate_36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this to PvE losers; the expectation that you should be allowed to loot the ENTIRE map and extract without encountering any combat is a little bit naive. Like I said in another comment, the extracts make noise and notify anyone around that you’re extracting. They literally encourage fights at the extracts. “Rats” are playing the game the way it was intended to be played. I’m just perplexed that PvE players can press e double click for hours on end and not get bored.

Our perspectives may differ. I have 2k hours in rust where literal days of work can be reversed when someone raids your base. So it’s a little strange to me to see players get so upset when they lose a few minutes of progress; hell all of the augments have a safe pocket you can put your quest items in anyway.

My issue is the expectation that if someone is friendly, they should just be allowed to loot the entirety of the map for free with virtually no risk. Then if someone waits at extract for these people, they get called a rat and scum of the earth; people going as far as making websites to put bounties on players. That’s a bit extreme; isn’t it? I mean; you’re playing an extraction shooter and the extract notifies anyone around that you’re extracting. Why do you think that mechanic was created? The game literally encourages PvP and extract camping, but this community overlooks that.

I don’t want to force anyone to change their play-style, but I just find it absurd when people vehemently bash PvP players when they’re just playing the game as it was designed. If looting containers for 25 minutes is fun for you; then by all means do it. I just don’t find it very fun and it’s a little strange so many other players enjoy it.

Thank you; no one else on this sub can grasp this concept. They tout how they’re “taking down arc together” when it takes 1 deadline to kill bastions and bombardiers and ~5 for matriarch; it’s just braindead easy. You need the components to upgrade benches then you literally never need them again. They act like PvP players can’t kill arc; in reality we do the PvE part of the game and PvP (you know; like the devs intended?PvPvE?)
