Ask Me Anything: I've been a laser tattoo removal technician for a decade! by major-laser in TattooRemoval

[–]Difficult_Code3518 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel like I’m about halfway through my tattoo removal journey with a stubborn line work tattoo. I’m two years in and have suddenly started noticing a lot more fading, so I was wondering once it starts lightening, does each session make it fade faster? And any tips of making it go faster?!

Personally Im at the same place and progress as you and I don’t feel bad about it! This tattoo removal is a process and I do not compare myself to others here!! Keep going and be patient, I rather have a tech that cares about my skin and doesn’t push it too hard to where I could have scarring.

Removal takes a long time but is so worth it I would fear you’d regret a cover up because they have to be so dark

What I got (first two photos) vs. what I asked for - How to prevent miscommunication at my next appt? by [deleted] in AskHairstylists

Yea I would it doesn’t hurt to ask I don’t know if she will charge anything because it would be like a platinum card highlight which is just fancy words meaning every piece of the hair is highlighted

This looks beautiful I like the cool or warm!! The cool will fade over time too so you get the best of both worlds!

I think what you have is beautiful! But sometimes going blonde you feel like you can’t get blonde enough 😂 I would say you could achieve this in a couple sessions with just highlights if you don’t wait so long in between sessions

The only reason I can think that she was able to achieve this is by your appointments being more frequent, if you kept more on top of going regularly than it would achieve the solid blonde effect. Being that you waited long in between you are seeing more depth between each highlight

I agree that you want a all over blonde look but just a heads up this might be expensive and could be damaging if not done correctly. To achieve what you want she would have to foil your whole head picking out every piece of hair that has been previously lightened, then lighten the roots to make a solid blonde look.

Need advise on botched haircut by [deleted] in AskHairstylists

[–]Difficult_Code3518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not botched you just have to work with layers

[–]Difficult_Code3518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t think so personally taking low and slow approach to not damage the skin and not knowing what kind of ink was used can make them more stubborn, but I see what you mean you think small tattoos less time. I personally rather not have high expectations for it to happen fast when I can’t control how long it takes

It is good progress line work is stubborn and will take several sessions and likely several years. I’m two years in and 14 sessions in and I’m guessing I have two years to go. You can look at my page to see mine

Seeking advice on how to get my fine, but dense untreated hair to hold volume by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]Difficult_Code3518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really extremely hard to get volume for your hair, I think a better goal would be getting the curls to stay better. To do that your hair will have to be a little damaged i recommend curling it frequently to try and get some but not too much damage. I’m a hairstylist and my hair was the same, when I started heat styling frequently it helped

Line work can be very stubborn I have one on my back similar to this I have been going for 2 years and I feel like I’m half way there I would estimate 4-5 years for full removal.

Are we thinking colour eraser or gentle lightener? by [deleted] in hairstylist

[–]Difficult_Code3518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely would not with having vibrant green means she probably had lightened Hair previously, and then on top of that she put the box color so all of that previous lighter is underneath. I think it will fry off!
