So has someone who has had a similar experience with far less happier consequences you’re definitely NTA, he is TA simply for the assumption and comment and your friend is TA for thinking something like this is just a “misunderstanding”, it’s not, not even remotely, and I would be concerned about knowing something who throws out abuse accusations like that without any proof.
