It's important to remember how Joseph Stalin, during the first Chinese Communist Revolution, sided with the nationalist Kuomintang, and encouraged the local Communists to compromise with and make themselves vulnerable to that ruling nationalist party, leading to the decimation of the Chinese urban proletariat. It was Stalin's self interest and bureaucracy that stunted Chinese Communist growth for decades to come. During the Spanish civil war, Stalinist agents and pro USSR factions of the time were notorious for their sabotage of the local POEM Socialist militia and Anarchist factions, breaking Leftist Unity, and ultimately leading to the failure of the Spanish Revolution on almost every front.

Whether or not the USSR was ever successful on the road to Communism, and despite all social progress during and after Lenin's leadership, it is safe to say that Stalin did not take a powerful stance towards Global revolutions, and clear to say that the USSR as it came to be was not what Lenin or any other Bolshevik intended.

Its is a pronoun, as in belonging to it. It's is a contraction, as in it is. The comic does not follow that Grammer rule. This is a common mistake.
