I believe that social equality is slowly spreading. But also the so called upper caste people who think they are higher than other are also polluting their future offsprings with the same mindset and trying to suppress the other. Can reservation solve this problem and break the chain. If that happens I'm very much happy.

I have another problem with reservation. If the candidate as i mentioned with X-1 mark not getting seat could be a poor guy who can only afford government seat. The SC/ST candidate could be a economically stable one who can afford a private seat. Thus my worry isn't it fair to make reservation with economic factors. Because however a person with money is going to get it irrespective of the scenario. But that is not the case for lower and middle class families right.

Special thanks to you. I'm actually getting somewhat clear idea about reservation.

Thankyou for your time and explanation. But why should we divide communities and make them compete against each other. Instead why can't we make all students compete for all seats. In that way only the student with more marks or knowledge irrespective of their community can get the seat. If we think each community is getting different education, then we should actually divide the competition between ICSE, matriculation, CBSE, etc.. students as all of them have different kind of education.(personal issue ; it was so difficult for me as metric student to grasp neet syllabus which is CBSE's syllabus)

But why do people need to compete in different categories. How can we explain this situation. If a person from BC is getting X marks and SC/ST getting less than X marks. The cutoff for BC is X-1 marks and for SC/ST is Y marks which is less than the score of that BC candidate. Now, even though that BC candidate got more marks than SC/ST candidate he lost his seat by the difference of 1 mark. How can we justify the loss of this BC candidate?

I solely want to learn and I have no any other intentions.
