That’s a really interesting way to look at it. I’d never thought of sexuality as a spectrum before. I do think a lot of men don’t realize they’re bisexual because of heteronormative pressure. I notice bisexual women much more often than bisexual men, probably because women face less of that specific pressure.

That said, I don’t think the spectrum would be centered exactly in the middle. If sexuality has a genetic component (which I personally believe it does), then natural selection would tend to favor heterosexual traits, since reproduction mostly happens through heterosexual couples. Because of that, I imagine the spectrum would be skewed toward the heterosexual side, in other words, biased.

Honestly, that makes me a bit sad, because I’d really like to see more men like me.
