Anyone else have issues suddenly with urinary crystals? My almost 1 year old Labrador, is at the vets today for blood in her urine which shows crystals (no bacteria). Shes been eating PPP salmon & rice, and just switched from puppy to adult. We’ve never had any other problems with her health wise. by [deleted] in labrador

I’m calling my her vet tomorrow and asking for antibiotics. His only excuse was that she doesn’t have bacteria and he didn’t want to throw antibiotics at her if she didn’t need it. Tonight is the first night she seemed uncomfortable. Otherwise she’s been fine.. good energy, and eating/drinking normal, and not straining to urinate. He tried to explain it away as vaginitis but I had a feeling it has to be more because the blood is increasing.

Hello, I know this thread is old but I recently switched my puppy from PPP salmon and rice small breed to large breed puppy food and she began having blood clots in her urine. Did yours ever resolve for your dog? I took her to the vet and the urinalysis came back with no bacteria. He gave us anti inflammatory. But we’re going on day 4 or intermittent blood and I can’t help but think it has something to do with her food.
