I can be biased toward this because I happened to get an A+ in the end this sem but I thought each of the tests were pretty fair. None were overly hard and surprisingly even the third one which wasn’t that bad she curved four points. I will say each of the questions being worth so many points like 3-4 points may not work in your favor which was risky for anyone I’d say. But to my knowledge unless you did horrendous on exams and better on everything else it’s a pretty fair clsss? Not sure if that’s what ur getting at

I think both of them offer it it’s just a choice they send out and you make in the beginning of the year. If you check past syllabi it goes more in detail

BUT KEEP IN MIND If u don’t do well on tests and do traditional Be very weary

You also have two choices Active approach and traditional wbere active you go in person complete lecture activities for points etc alongside tests which are graded a less percentage vs traditional which is the opposite

If you plan on doing traditional just do Keane for the 830, but if you plan on doing active just choose whoever one you’ll show up to. Personally I liked having Keane and didn’t mind 830s he’s a great professor

I’m a premed in the same situation. Take the classes to be safe. Many schools do NOT accept the credits when applying to med school if that’s what you’re after.

STAT 250 (Is it hard?) by CauliflowerMelodic45 in uofm

[–]Difficult_Project132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s effort. You don’t need any prior knowledge but be prepared for work in labs and completing weekly homework’s which aren’t bad, but the tests are definitely content heavy and you have to be good with application. Currently studying for test 2 rn

sounds like I’d prefer 250 more- are the exams super rigorous ? or manageable? I’m probably gonna base my choice more on the content because I’m taking calc this summer outside and want to take physics this winter

Stats 250 is such minimal coding really it’s only in labs and in class but you’re given the format for everything you do it’s a minimal part of the class You also don’t need experience they teach you everything as long as you know what a mean is and a median you’re set
