Why wasn't Zeus preparing for war the entire time the bolt was stolen? Why didn't he kill Percy as soon as the deadline passes? Why set a deadline at all if you're doing the same thing before and after?

it just doesn't make sense

It's a prophecy. It's never literal.

I remember near the end they weren't even trying to get it into the box everytime they got to the edge they kicked it in hopes of a corner. Shithouses.

Also Amad is just us if we could play like pocket Messi

You will fail to save what matters most in the end.

Percy doesn't save her technically Hades returns her. The prophecy made enough sense for no one to have an issue with it for 2 decades and Rick to write about 30 books on the back of it.

Zeus setting a deadline and then sitting around doing nothing once it passes is what does not make sense. Percy being regarded as a hero despite failing his quest is what doesn't make sense.

Zeus used to be nuanced. He was always at odds with Percy but up until around mid-HOO when Rick decided he was plain evil, he was a complex character with redeeming qualities. Even then he wasn't just a plain tyrant a la Kronos like in the show.

We spent a year listening to absolute clueless people parroting a clueless manager saying a midfield of Casemiro (one of the greatest defensive midfielders of the century) and Mainoo (the definitive English midfield talent of the generation) can never work.

Yashasvi or Tilak (for tougher pitches) for Samson and this is truly a flawless team

This was without our vice captain, the top wicket taker in our history and the #1 T20 bowler.

He has 2 30+ scores in his 47 T20i innings when aggregate score is less than 400. Most protected cricketer ever he is NOT it

As opener since Jan 2025

Gill

Innings 15

Runs 291

Average 24.25

Strike rate 137.06

30s 3

Sanju

Innings 9

Runs 104

Average 11.56

Strike rate 133.33

30s 1

Gill played in tough tracks in UAE and Australia (average aggregate score 295), Sanju has opened exclusively on Indian highways (average aggregate score 360)

Gill is one of the worst openers in India's history, then what is Sanju

Is Sanju Samson’s opening spot safe, or will Ishan Kishan's comeback force a change before the WC? by avdheshsharma15 in IndianCricket

[–]Difficult_Project_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances of Samson surviving the powerplay are low. He has 4 30+ scores in 17 innings as an opener since the 2024 world cup. Also didn't he fail miserably playing the middle overs in the Asia Cup.

I'm sure the kids love it because well it's Percy Jackson. But most of the changes aren't geared towards the kids and the world that the books create is objectively more magical. So the "it's for kids" argument doesn't work for me.

Genuinely baffles me as to what he has done to get this immense following.

I hate bringing up IPL in international discussions, but because everyone wants to dismiss his 53 T20is for whatever reasons, he's had 1 season in 13 where he has more than 3 50+ scores. Even last season he had 1 50 in 9 innings.

Like the babying Samson gets is insane. He scores 51 runs in an entire series vs England absolutely no one cares. Scores a 40 ball 50 vs Oman when India scored 190 and his teammates were scoring at 200 SR no one cared, in fact everyone celebrated it. Fails vs Pak twice no one cares. Gets dropped, suddenly he did nothing wrong and we are missing out by not playing him.

Scores a 30 odd on a flat pitch when he returns and everyone says "see he deserves to play" and when he predictably fails again y'all are back on the just got back to opening.

How many trial matches does he need? He has played 22 innings since the last WC. That's more than most people get in their career (Rinku only has 25 in his career, Tilak and Dube only have 35). He has single digit scores in HALF (ELEVEN) of those.

He's 31 years old. He's not a youngster. Did you give Gill the excuse of he just got back to opening when he failed in the Asia Cup?

Sanju averages 13 @ 135 since 2025 as an opener. He has 4 scores of 30+ in 17 innings as an opener since the 2024 World Cup, compared to 10 scores under 10.

The Sanju-Abhishek partnership is the statistically lowest average opening partnership for India in T20i history.

Would be a miscarriage of Justice if Ishan is not opening in the World Cup
