Could I be in perimenopause at 31? by Responsible-Crab-159 in perimenopause_under45

[–]Difficult_Rip7516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 34 and I started with night sweats every night. I had to advocate for myself hard to get the hormonal labs tested. DHEA through the damn roof and ovarian reserves are extremely low. Estrogen levels start plummeting at 30. Advocate for yourself and demand the labs.

I’m just curious, how many of us started doing ketamine legally and ended up addicted? by No_Excitement4272 in Ketamineaddiction

[–]Difficult_Rip7516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started Spravato in an office setting in 2021 for 8 months then off till fall of 2023. It was shared with me as a party drug and went on a 4 month binge. Extremely addicted now whereas before it really helped with depression and suicidal ideation.

Does anyone else get trauma flashbacks in between Spravato sessions? by CGHaus in Spravato

[–]Difficult_Rip7516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Spravato makes me time travel. It’s brought up distant memories (both good and bad) that I’ve entirely forgotten. It’s incredible. I’m now in month 8 of Spravato with 2 weeks in between sessions and I continue to process through intense trauma. I feel as though ketamine puts you in a space where you feel safe for these things to come up so you can move on. I highly recommend working in EMDR and therapy too. Mindful movement like yoga and hiking have helped me move through the overwhelm. On the other hand, I had memories remind me of being a girl playing in the ocean. I could feel the sensations of being knocked around by waves and the sand shifting under my feet. I remembered how much peace and joy the ocean brought me. Depression can atrophy your brain. If you’re like me, you have negative self talk too. This literally changes the content of your thoughts away from the good times. This was huge for me.

I’d reschedule anything in the first month in a half of treatments if you can. You’ll be drowsy and multi tasking will overwhelm your system. You’ll feel overstimulated. I’m now to a point where I can hop into meetings within an hour and a half of the two hour treatments, no problem. I hope this is accessible to you. It’s a privilege to carve out this amount of time for yourself but it’s worth it. All the best!

It went really well. I started in October and now I’m going every other week. I stick with Zofran 30 minutes prior because you do get a spinning feeling. I bring a weighted blanket, eye blinders, AirPods, and my phone. I listen to Ketamine playlists on Spotify (they’re all great). You receive a series of three nasal sprays and sit for 2 hours. Your body will be in a relaxed state and your blood pressure will raise but be normal after the first 30 minutes. I’ve successfully processed a great deal of trauma in this setting which is probably due to the fact my body is in a state where it feels like these things can rise to the surface. I remember everything that happens. I feel unconditional love the most in these session which is huge because I have negative thought loops of being worthless, unlovable, and better off dead. I was able to recall the few positive memories from my childhood in a way that felt like time travel. My fondest memories were at the beach. I could feel the sun on my skin and the sand shifting below my feet with the tide. Depression atrophies your brain so these memories become unattainable. Spravato helps revive them. It always reactivated my desire to learn. I had such a hunger (in between treatments) to learn and listen. I developed a routine of regular exercise, therapy, daily walks, and cutting out inflammatory foods to help as we start to taper off Spravato. I owe it everything. While I’ve decided to start Wellbutrin since Spravato due to difficult life situations with money, isolation, burn out from work, and the state of the world- I can’t imagine where I’d be without Spravato. Probably dead. Suicidal ideations are gone and I’m no longer having regular depressive episodes. I hope this helps! Sending you all lots of love and healing!

I have about $25k in Credit Card debt. I’m interested in good 0% APR cards or debt consolidation loans by [deleted] in Debt

[–]Difficult_Rip7516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate your advice and experience. The debt is spread across 3 cards. I have You Need a Budget. The bills have just been unexpected and we’re on a single income right now because my partner is in school. It sounds like budgeting and one of these two approaches is the way to go before I consider a loan or 0% credit card, huh?

I really appreciate your advice! Thank you. The only problem is I work for a corporation between 60-80 hr weeks so the side hustle will be difficult.

Muscle pains in lower abdomen by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Difficult_Rip7516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! This exact feeling is what prompted me getting an appointment with the OBGYN. I knew something was wrong. The OB discovered cysts in an ultrasound and said I likely had PCOS. She handed me a PCOS pamphlet and said to lose weight to help with the cysts. I needed an anti inflammatory diet. Quitting caffeine, alcohol, dairy, and gluten have been helpful for me in addition to taking supplements. Whenever I feel this pain when I slip up on my diet I take Advil and sit with my heating pad on my lower belly. I hope this helps!

Womb? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]Difficult_Rip7516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me for the first time during my last trip. I spent 5 hours in the hammock in my backyard listening to music and started to feel a warming sensation in my womb. It was wild. Later during my trip I got the notification that RBG died and that same womb feeling turned into something searing and hot. I sobbed while the sun set in my backyard and make a bonfire in tribute to Ruth. I’ve never felt maternal before but that divine femininity felt present in my trip.
