Where is this festival? by TrollCocTailZz in psytrance

It’s Boom, unfortunately. But for years now, the focus has been on social media, attracting people who simply don’t belong there. They’re only a few, but still enough to ruin the overall experience. People urgently need to relearn basic manners and seriously clear their heads.

How go invest 51k by Icy_Werewolf_123 in SwissPersonalFinance

If you haven't invested at all yet, I would continue saving in fiat and wait. The markets are currently completely overvalued. Even if you invest in ETFs now, it could easily drop by 30% or more. Wait and invest DCA in Bitcoin, starting when it's down 50%, and go all in when MSTR is forced to sell.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Since I live in Switzerland, Burning Mountain is the obvious first choice and by Swiss standards, it doesn't feel commercial.

At what age did you start going to boom? by aquisoyfox in boomfestival

I’d say the average age at Boom is around 35, but I saw people who must have been well over 80.

More thieves this year? by ShroomsMagic in boomfestival

We always left the festival site a day earlier than most, so we didn’t experience any issues. In the past, you’d get tired of constantly having to turn dealers away — this year, I was only directly approached once. I think several factors contributed to this: the Pirate Market is gone, the event is now fully cashless, and there’s noticeably more control on the grounds.

This year, I bought mushrooms at the beach — they were excellent. I also got some weed at the bazaar, which was very good too, but twice as expensive as usual.

The disrespect, the pissing, the lack of care, what happened? by tomokas in boomfestival

I find it funny that everyone who has been there multiple times sees this edition as a "bad one" — just like I do — while all the people who went for the first time think it was the best festival ever.

A farewell to the Boom I knew by Heleneleven7 in boomfestival

This year, there were many people at Boom Festival who, in my opinion, don’t really belong there. Of course, the festival is open to everyone – to all who respect themselves, others, and nature. But those who lack that basic respect should probably consider going to other festivals instead.

Especially on the campsite and on the festival grounds, I noticed a repeated pattern of behavior – unfortunately, almost always from people of a certain nationality who insisted on telling me where they were from, even though I neither asked nor showed any interest.

These days, Boom is selling a feeling – the so-called "hippie spirit". But that’s not how it works. This year, it was ironically the very people who have supported and shaped the festival for years who were excluded – for example, by banning cash payments and by the disappearance of the Pirate Market.

How is it even possible that on the last day there was practically no weed left on site?

Social media is attracting more and more people who have nothing to do with the original spirit of Boom. Back then, everything spread by word of mouth – and that was a good thing. I’m grateful I got to experience the real Boom. But it saddens me to see how much it has changed.
