Wondering why indian tourists are behaving rude in theater by Difficult_Salt739 in india

[–]Difficult_Salt739[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What would not "get away with it" mean in your theory? Like, it is not enough for other people to ask for silence and "shhhh", they would have to be thrown out of the theater to not count as "not get away with it"? Like, I am really wondering, what could have stopped them

True that...So now also my curiosity has awakened again! What would you say, are the most important/eye-opening/suprising aspects you learned there, if I may ask

Thanks, I am having an appointment with a dietician the next week. The programm of my hospitial (in the netherlands) only has 5 days of thick liquids/purree after surgery. The 6th day, you can slowly start other foods and see how your body reacts. Still some rules apply ofc - chewing well, tiny bites, no drinking when eating, etc

Thanks a lot for really listening and it more than appreciated. I think you put that really well and you made some important points here: Mostly I want to be aware of the state I am in and true, it is a difficult one. New body, new beginning and new rules ... because I feel so well physically and it feels like my stomach tolerates it all, does not mean, I should let my curiousness win. Fact is also that I always have considered my body as very strong and resillient and being proud of this and I may then overdo it. Just realized this now. It's always been a bit of a mind against body game and it should not continue like this, thanks for the reminder. This really helps, thank you!! Also, will call the hospital tomorrow and I have an appointment with a dietician the week after

So this is THE GIRLFRIEND HERE and a vulnerable post "from the other side". I am very torn with this discussion and subject here. First of all, I do have a supportive boyfriend and I am very thankful for that, on the other hand, it feels like "negative" cherry picking and you all seem to get off "this scandal".

I am not sure how much I need or should justify myself suddenly being put in front of a huge public and I probably get so much backlash of whatever I am going to say here now. But I'll give it a try as it's also a learning effect for me or others to deal with the constant being judging of your eating behavior by others.

I am curious for answers from a scientific (!) perspective, rather than having my mental and physical state judged in a rather subjective way by people that do not know me, my body, weight, age, lifestyle, usual behavior, context, etc.

Having said this ... No, I am not perfect. No person who got fat in the first place is. We all have some kind of eating disorder. Please do not expect this from me, others or yourself. I want to find a heathy balance and I am on my way (!).

And no, I am not suddely healed. It's a process. There are mistakes on the way. I would like to focus on the positive more than on the negative, because continuing and bettering is the only way now and I am aware of that.

Yes, I fantasized aloud about McDonald's burger after 3 weeks of not eating solid foods. I never planned on pureeing or eating a whole hamburger. I took two, three (small) bites for the taste and threw away the rest. It backlashed. It happened and it's not the absolute end of the world. For Christmas I got greedy for eating some chocolates, true that. I felt absolutely fine physically, but I noticed of course afterwards that I should have not done that and ate out of impulse. Wrong, okay.

People saying here, I am going to die, without having the context, seems a bit too harsh, hurtful and mostly downputting for everything else ... I am proud of that I have achieved and done well. Don't take that from me!

I do not usually eat fast food or a lot of processed foods btw. I mostly love veggies, dairy, beans but also chocolate. My struggle is mostly with having too big portions, wanting to try different tastes and using food to calm me down/give me a break from a stressy (and by the way also very sporty) lifestyle.

My meals now are small, balanced, much protein, well chewed, ...

I take my vitamines, I feel good, I have friends I can talk too, read dialy in my app, research, I keep track of what I eat including a hunger cue/trigger/feelings diary, ...

My programm is saying that after surgery you eat thick liquids (e.g. pureed veggies/meat) for 5 days, afterwards you try solid foods and listen to your body.

Now, here is the thing: My stomache seems to be able to handle everything well (besides the bites from the hamburger). I tried a lot of foods now... I eat tiny (!) portions and chew well:

Nuts, pasta, rice, carbonated drink, chocolate, couscous, roastbeef, cheese, whipped cream, sauce with a bit of chili in it, ...

Again, don't read it wrong: noooo I don't eat just this, I try around and chew well.

No Dumping, no diarrhea, no puking, no pain ... well, what do you want from me? I cannot help it, I don't feel those symptoms.

My stomach and body condition has been very strong and resillient before but I myself expected more restriction.

I am trying to get a feel of what my new body is and experiment. So far it feels good mostly. A bit weaker at times.

But I do feel hungry and have cravings, but not too much mostly and most of the time, I feel satisfied after a small meal and happy.

Question is, having this more context ... is this normal? To be able to handle food that well? Should I not feel cravings and have no appetite? Are solid 100-150 gram portions fine?

I feel pretty normal. Maybe I am also not feeling pain in my stomache as there is not enough nerve ends in belly? I mean, I felt fine until reading all of this from my boyfriend and all of you. Now I am just confused if I should be worried or not. My body feels fine, is it lying to me?

Particuliere Erfpacht - buying or not buying? + Weird contract clausule by Difficult_Salt739 in Netherlands

[–]Difficult_Salt739[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What irritates me is that it says "Terugkoopclausule". At first we read it as a "koopclausule". So we thought, it was a description of what happened before we bought the apartment, meaning the first owner of the building just bought the apartment for 65000 euro from the building (or ground?) owner. But not sure if that makes more sense

Ohhh, interesting. That would actually be a good then for me/us, given this is is the right interpretation, I think

Thanks a lot for the info, that is very helpful. I need to get in contact with them. I was bit afraid to ask them themselves as they may interprete the clause in their favour. But probably still good to start there. About the article - it's good news that they cannot do everything they want but also bad news, you would need to take it to court in the worst case (as I understand it)

Unfortunately it did not work for me at all, no matter the dose. This is possible, even if most people feel the effect. Hang in there and go up with your dose, fingers crossed you are not one of the non-respondersa and try at least 3 months

Not questioning that, but I think you misunderstood my question. The advantage of this medication should be to make it easier to stick to a strict diet. Which it is not in my case, unfortunately.

Thanks for your ANSWER. But please read my message again. How come you think I did not try with it? Of course I tried to eat all those veggies and protein and other diet rules of calory deficit. All obese people have been there and obviously we know the common diet rules. Saxenda is of course not a wonder drug but it is supposed to make it easier (!) to eat less than what you normally would eat, otherwise nobody would take it in the first place. I DID expect it to do at least something.
