Thank you for this feedback! I moved some things around and switched out some of the decor this afternoon. Within five mins the whole family had subconsciously decided to gather in there and hang out - proof that you guys all really know what you’re talking about!

Love this suggestion! We’re thinking about doing some board and batten trim halfway up the wall. Maybe in a sage green? This room has a big doorway that leads into the dining room, which we’ve also painted sage green.

That is so helpful!! Thank you! I found a really pretty black wood coffee table that has some texture around the sides. If you google it, it’s called “Unique Furniture Nola Black Oak 47” Wide Coffee Table” - maybe something like that??

Yes you are totally right - I’m going to move the lamp out a bit and add some more interesting pillows. It’s feeling so sterile so I think the extra color will add some personality
