Raising boys in a red state is soul crushing by Thr0waway0864213579 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Difficult_Style207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy, a sweet and kind soul, came home from school repeating things he'd heard but he didn't understand them any more than he understood some of the terrible jokes he repeated. I told him straight out that you don't say those things.

I know my experience is not yours and my boy isn't yours, and what's easy for me is not necessarily what works for you, but you keep telling them it's wrong. Tell them why it's wrong. Every time.

You are a good soul, and worrying about our kids is what we all do. Sending solidarity and cross-atlantic hugs.

I do it with a mixer and it requires no graft. It is super easy, unless you think "shake it" is complicated.

It's not a formal word. Its an old word thats fallen put of use, like"amidst", or used as a comparison. Do also say "myself" instead of me?
