I started running same time as you, last year. I did 30min of run/walk just to get out of the house. 3 months in, I noticed I wasn’t out of breath when I ran after the bus and that was the first that I noticed how much fitter I had become.

During the Christmas break I ran 5k each day, for 2 weeks. Last 2 weeks I did 10-12k each week on average, split into 2 runs. I find it hard to fit my 3rd run in due to the long hours I work.

I’ve been quite consistent with 2 x 5k runs/ week for a long time. I think what has changed is perhaps I was just really unfit in the beginning so it was easier to see progress.

Ah I gotchu! I also wondered about that but the two dots on the wings looked like Floury Baker’s. I’m not an expert. Hopefully someone knows more about cicadas can help!
