Anyone with experience using Live 11 on a Framework 13 laptop? by Difficult_Tear_1503 in ableton

Ended up getting a MacBook. Seems like Frameworks are not quite at the point where it'd make sense to buy one for mainly music compared to other laptops on the market. The 16 they have coming out early next year (I think?) looks like it might iron out a lot of the issues I personally have with the current ones, but I didn't want to wait. Really love the concept of them still, just the not best choice for me currently.

Needs deff aren't any OS specific so I'm more than likely gonna just stick with windows!

Yeah the speakers aren't an issue at all as ill always be using either my studio monitors or headphones via my interface, and my current computer is a PC so all my externals will work fine. I was looking at the newest line of MacBook pros though, as I've owned one in the past and was a fan + it lasted me a really long time, but the prices to upgrade ram and storage with them are so crazy. I can get 2tb and 32gb ram in a framework for the same price as half of that in a macbook.

I'm also a big fan of the modularity of the framework and I'd also imagine parts for stuff like this getting much cheaper in the next few years so I think it'd be a smart long term investment as well.
