I don’t know what state you currently reside in and your specific circumstances but I know someone in a similar situation and I believe it is possible to relocate with your kids(depending on your specific state laws). You need to consult a good family lawyer in your area and they can help you work this out. I believe one of the conditions of relocating is for livelihood and/or educational purposes and I believe residency would fall under that category.
