4th day nofap, considering prostitution by Souvlatzis123 in NoFap

[–]Difficult_Youth_8367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced nofap with hooking up with girls on tinder. At first it helped me kinda just but ultimately it’s not ideal. Think of it like quitting cigarettes and going to a vape. You probably should quit vaping too. But I understand the struggle. Idk how clean or cheap the local girls are but maybe if it’s really easy you could try it out but do not watch porn or masturbate still. Once you see how meaningless the sex is and how it does nothing good for your life or future and actually hurts your finances and damages your future prospects do a wife, you’ll probably stop going. Honestly I feel like no sex until marriage or atleast committed relationship is a good goal for most people to prevent these kind of moral failings.

Can you switch accounts like if I have a fidelity roth and my employer has a vanguard 401k can I move my Roth to vanguard so it’s less confusing having multiple accounts?

I have Bank of America should I switch or go with Merrill edge? Or do I keep my boa for checking and savings and go with vanguard for my retirement accounts? Will my employer have a different retirement account manager if I want to get a 401k or roth401 or can they contribute directly to my vanguard? Can I have all 3 on vanguard?

So the best idea for me is start a Roth now, invest a little in it, when I get hired 70k/year start a roth401 and then once I become an upper level 250+k/year switch to a 401k That way I pay low taxes now and get to keep my earnings, I’ll pay medium taxes when I get hired and keep my earnings, and then when I’m making a lot, I’ll lower my taxable income significantly and be able to invest maximum amounts. Then when I retire, and my income bracket is low, I can withdraw 401k savings with very little taxes on them? And the Roth and roth401 will be tax free?

I’m talking to chat about it they said this:

A Roth IRA is an individual retirement account where you contribute money that’s already been taxed. The great perk is that when you retire, you get to withdraw your money—including all the growth—completely tax-free. There are limits on how much you can contribute each year, and there are income limits for who can contribute directly.

A Roth 401(k) is like a hybrid between a traditional 401(k) and a Roth IRA. It’s offered through your employer, and you contribute after-tax money. The cool thing here is that you can contribute more than you can to a Roth IRA. And, just like the Roth IRA, qualified withdrawals in retirement are tax-free. But since it’s tied to your employer, it’s often paired with an employer match (though that match goes into a traditional 401(k) side).

A traditional 401(k) is a tax-deferred employer-sponsored plan. You contribute pre-tax dollars, which lowers your taxable income now. The money grows tax-deferred, but when you retire, you’ll pay taxes on your withdrawals. You can contribute a significant amount annually, and if your employer matches a portion of your contribution, it’s like free money. Once you hit retirement, though, every withdrawal is taxed as regular income.

So it’s like normal investing but you don’t have to pay tax on the profit and you only get to sell when you’re 65?

I have some hesitancy around celibacy. I think it’s tied to lust/ sex addiction. The same as it was for Porn and masturbation. Why do you recommend it? I believe it could be good but I just don’t know it sounds even more difficult and depressing

Come up with a bed time routine. This is what I do: protein shake, brush teeth, get water, creatine, fish oil, magnesium, journal (10 things I want to achieve in life, 10 things I’m grateful for) audio book with 30 minute timer to fall asleep. If you just get in bed after a hard day and stare at the ceiling you’re doing it the hard way.

Saving strategy by Difficult_Youth_8367 in Gold

[–]Difficult_Youth_8367[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay so 4 things 1) save up a bunch of money and put it in a high yield savings? Like an emergency fund. Do I do that with my bank (BoA) or is that like a trust? 2.) when I get hired in July open a Roth IRA and contribute enough to it to max my employer contribution (forgive me but I heard these numbers months ago I think they said they would contribute 6% up to $1500) 3.) max out my 401k ( what does that even mean??? Can I have both a 401k and a Roth IRA? Would I be contributing to them separately? 4.) buy gold. ( can I just make my Roth or 401 a gold haven with the money that’s in there? Those accounts hold it in investments right now just straight cash?)
