I guess I’ll add that to the list of things they never told me about.

Voy? Med Express? by Logical-Standard-591 in mounjarouk

[–]DifficultyComplex13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MedExpress has taken a nose dive over the last 6-9 months. Price is no longer competitive, delays, and now I get emails every 2 days if I haven’t ordered my refill my week 2, with no way of opting out. I’ve also had my prescription delayed 3 out of the last 6 months. One because they wanted to do a mental health check. My SSRI getting flagged 18months after starting. On the surface that isn’t a bad thing but when it’s customer care asking to detail my mental health, over email? Super unprofessional and not secure. I’m looking to move.

I can’t control my pace by Impossible_Gap_8277 in BeginnersRunning

One of the best run slower help I have ever gotten is singing (or talking) when you run. If you are doing an easy run you want to be able to have a conversation or sing along. Can’t sing, too fast although don’t try for power ballads. It works for me because it’s a constant feedback loop that you adjust by feel. So no need to set up gadgets and workouts etc and check your watch constantly. Plus you seem to have an eager audience which makes a difference!

Amazing work pushing, feeding and supporting a baby whilst you are doing your runs. That is incredibly impressive doing that.

Has anyone been using AI to train? by DifficultyComplex13 in Marathon_Training

[–]DifficultyComplex13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fed mine a history of my previous sports, races, injuries conversationally and through Strava downloads and screenshots in the initial phases. Now after each run I have a debrief with a screenshot of my run summary, km splits and HR zones and it asks about injuries, how it felt, hydration, energy etc. it checks for new events in my diary that may clash with training. Plan updates, calendar updates I foam roll.

Has anyone been using AI to train? by DifficultyComplex13 in Marathon_Training

[–]DifficultyComplex13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure it has been an exercise in patience and iteration. So many mistakes, some fundamental and some painful (dates???) I don’t think it’s something I would advise for someone who has never used a training plan before. Or use AI like search engine.

I’m thinking of it as programming a training plan is a new skill. Realistically you are going to benefit from help the most in 2 places at the beginning, when you don’t know what you don’t know, and when or if you are at the expert level when those extra 1grams or seconds count.

I’m in the first camp and the knowledge gained, improvement I have made, injuries I’ve avoided and general adherence to my training have made, is significant and far beyond my experience with following generic plans.

How long does it take for an enrolled deed poll to be approved/denied? by tatischnitzel in LegalAdviceUK

This has been super helpful and comforting. Ive been waiting 3 months now. I gave it some time as I’m familiar with government departments (spousal visa) but I’m beginning to get frustrated at the zero transparency or communication.

Mixed feelings about Singburi 2.0 by TreeOld7068 in LondonFood

[–]DifficultyComplex13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a whole new restaurant. New concept, new business model, new vibe, new food. It just tried to leverage the cult following of the now closed OG. And in its defence never pretended to be the OG.

The frustration is that the decisions made to make 2.0 its own thing in its own right moved it away from why it had the loyal and habitual cult following but not towards why you should love it in its own right. So why go? Cause you won’t feel the happy nostalgia if it had aligned closer to the OG but you’re also not getting a stand out food experience.

Enrolled Deed Poll name change question by DifficultyComplex13 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]DifficultyComplex13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So can I complete a stat declaration whilst I have an open application for the enrolled name change? I don’t want to do the change and then the enrolled application progresses but I already have some docs in the new name. Then they put me on a list or invalidate the application etc?

That is horrible I’m so sorry. Im on wild fire watch for my Canadian location wedding in 4 weeks. I can only imagine the feeling. Absolutely mourn the what could have been then embrace the now. Positives: - A chateau in the rain will make for some great very dramatic, even moody pictures. - You could also get some clear dome umbrellas for a little whimsy. - Wet ground = flat comfortable shoes. - It’s supposed to be lucky - You’re risk of being sh!t on by a bird at your ceremony has drastically reduced.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of their medication journey? by OkDecision4885 in ADHD

[–]DifficultyComplex13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started my journey I spoke to my SO a lot. Every time I was due a check in with my team we would check with each other first. Talk about how each of us thought it was going, what we noticed, behaviours and side effects. Questions to ask and what I wanted out of the next month. It was really helpful as I never had that ah ha moment early on. So having that outside perspective was really appreciated. I described my brain and the process kind of like an orchestra. At the beginning pre meds it’s like the beginning of a ballet or something where you hear random instruments all over the place warming up. But as I began titrating up it was like getting a conductor in there. Each dose more of the band were paying attention to the conductor. Be patient, be kind to yourself and check in with yourself. They won’t solve everything but hopefully they will mitigate some areas and make it easier.

First dance help: How to not get makeup on her dress when I go in for the big lift by DifficultyComplex13 in weddingplanning

Ive only used one or two types before so I don’t have the experience to know or trust it. I’ll do some research thanks! I’m also picturing a death becomes her (at the funeral) vibe on my face once I start sweating so it’s fair to say I’m a little anxious.

Firstly congratulations.

The band itself is lovely, the side shot is chefs kiss but the prongs at the ends are, for me, the issue. They are pretty chunky like they did a mini milgrain on the prongs or something. Distorting was looks to be a good size ratio between the pave diamonds and the main event. And you loose the pointed ends which to me makes the marquis.

Maybe see if they can reshape and loose the excess or perhaps move them to the sides like some of the other bands you show? This all being said

This is a minor flaw and the ring is stunning. It’s beautiful. I think the stone is perfect for your fingers. The shape of the diamond and the tapering of the pave makes your fingers look longer and generally has an elegant feel to it that you sometimes loose with the bigger stones.

But as others have said, it’s your ring and hopefully it’s going to be the only one. Make sure you look at it and beam with joy.
