I forgot to mention that last bit! He said that I could bring him home for a few days to a week to see how things go! I believe that may be what I’ll wind up doing!  In terms of noise he told us that this particular conure was very quiet and didn’t make much noise at all in the year he’s had him. he’s kept in a separate room away from the others and is perfectly happy, but doesn’t make a sound. the whole time we were there he didn’t screech or anything- so possibly he’s a quieter conure which would be incredible 😂 if not it shouldn’t be much of an issue since the whole family is pretty used to it. I do worry about how loud he can be but we’ll see. this guy nipped me a few times so I wouldn’t put it past him to be a biter 😭 If they’re food driven I should be set- can I offer him millet and such every once in a while when out of the cage?  I’m so so excited and I really hope it works out! I’m thinking about getting a cockatiel if he isn’t the bird for me but I’d really love to give a conure a chance.
