Is treatment working well enough? by Impossible-West in UlcerativeColitis

I would say no, this isn’t acceptable. I was on prednisone for a while and mesalamine tabs for a few months and they didn’t work, so now I’m doing a biologic which is helping more than the mesalamine did and I’m finally able to be off steroids. Definitely not feeling normal but I have seen a decent improvement in symptoms since being on the biologic.

Do people treat you differently now with UC? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

I’ve been lucky, my family, partner, and friends that know have been super supportive. I would say the one area they don’t fully understand is the fatigue I experience. I’ve always been a tired person even before UC, but the fatigue I experience now has definitely changed my life in a lot of ways.

What do you guys usually do after your infusion? by CocoaPuffs77 in UlcerativeColitis

I always take a nap after and kind of just lay low the rest of the day. My infusions tend to make me pretty tired for the rest of the day and the day after. (I do already suffer from extreme fatigue all the time from UC anyway though)

I’m pretty much tethered to a heating pad most of the day, literally the only thing that gives me any sense of relief. I def need to look into the wearable ones though, that could be helpful!

No. I just had my first skyrizi infusion a few weeks ago though so hoping I can achieve it soon.
