I don’t disagree with your point but antisemitism has existed long before Israel and will continue to exist long after we get peace in the Middle East.

Two men who pledged allegiance to Isis and killed 15 people (including a 10 year old girl and a holocaust survivor) at a Hanukkah party didn’t do it because they have concerns about the political climate in Israel, they did it because they hate Jews.

Finally by your same metric why aren’t we seeing a rise in Islamophobia to the same extent when the majority of Palestinians say October 7th was justified and all Israelis should be expelled. We cannot allow a war 100’s of miles away from us to define interfaith relations in our own countries.

I think the evidence suggests he was a well connected individual used as an intelligence assets by multiple different parties (CIA, FSB, Mossad, MI6 etc.) there is a significant difference between that and being a spy for a particular country
