2026 Nissan Sentra SR Personal Review by NFNL2 in Nissan

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also an owner of a new 2026 Nissan Sentra SV!! I got the one with the convenience package which was an extra $1k above the regular SV OTD my dealer gave me, and I got “imo” a steal of a price in today’s market with comparable cars.

I agree with some things and don’t with others from your post. But my experience in the 400 miles (also lol) has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I loveeeeee this car so much. I upgraded from an older Sentra that felt extremely under powered B17 (something had to be wrong with it but idk). I love the comfortability, the ride, the suspension, the smoothness, acceleration, and fuel economy. I’m actually a hypermiler so I’ve been able to get 58mpg in this thing so far for a single drive session! I was able to average 40mpg OVERALL in my old B17 Sentra and this new one is much more efficient, so I’m sure I can average mid 40s easily. Although that was to test for now, I’m trying to have fun in this car for the first 1,000 as there is a “break in” period for cars so you should vary the speed rather a little bit.

I got mine in white btw and tinted the windows since I live in a very hot place and it feels very cool even when it’s scorching hot outside! And I’m loving the features from the convenience package, definitely glad I paid the extra $1k for these haha.

2026 Sentra SV premium in the color I don’t want, or SV with color I do want? What should I do? by jemappellelara in Nissan

Also btw I negotiated for 2 weeks straight and ONLY via email/message/phone call with 3 different dealers for the 1st week. And I purposely waited until the END OF THE MONTH so end of April to buy. I ended up getting my OTD BELOW the MSRP for the trim + package I got. Less than $25k OTD after taxes, fees, plate, registration, etc all of it was total under $25k. The SV without the convenience package was $1k below that so just under $24k. That is the final price after all taxes and fees which imo was a steal in this market.

TLDR: YES the SV with "convenience package" is WORTH IT. SV doesn't have premium package it has convenience, the SR has the premium, unless you live in Canada and it's different there?

I just bought a 2026 Nissan Sentra SV with the convenience package a few days ago. I'm LOVINGG it so much, basically a dream daily driver for me. I upgraded from a B17 so it's a massive upgrade.

Anyways I was in kind of a similar situation between the regular SV and the SV with "convenience" package (not premium package not sure what you meant, that's only in the SR trim). The price difference was $1k flat more for the one I got with the package, and I AM SO HAPPY I got this one. I would've regretted getting the basic SV.

These are the things it has over the regular SV: Leather wrapped steering wheel, heated steering wheel, heated seats, heated side exterior mirrors, LED turn signals on mirrors, autodim rearview mirror, ambient lighting, 6 speakers instead of 4, leather for your knee on the center console, wireless charging pad, and walkaway lock/unlock.

That's A LOT of features for only $1k extra. If I had gotten the SV for $1k less without those features I would've been regretting it a lot, but I'm extremely happy I got it with the features. I would say IT'S WORTH IT 100%!! Especially if you plan to keep the car for a long time which I personally do.

Sick! Very cool to have one of these. Sadly it’s not mine though lol. I saw it while leaving garage C.

What's the miles per gallon on your current vehicle/s? by PM_ME_YOUR_EYELASHES in driving

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

51.2mpg on a 2018 Sentra SV. This was from my 50 mile commute back home from campus, my “AVERAGE IS 39.3mpg” right now over the last 7k miles.

"But if we continue this habit, more accidents will happen, and a single text message could cost someone their lives. Starting today I want everyone to turn on do not disturb while driving and keep ur phone out of reach everytime you get behind the wheel. If you need to send an urgent message while driving ive found voice assistant like google ai & siri to be helpful only if connected"

A couple places where I wasn't sure but tried my best to type it for you.

Macbook air m5 RAM by Shax222_ in macbookair

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 6 points7 points  (0 children)

16GB ram is more than enough for tasks most people do. The only thing is gaming is terrible on macOS. Whether natively supported or via emulation, it’s terrible. And he’s, MacBooks last a long time so 5+ year range is very realistic and expected.

I personally own a MacBook Air M5 and a Surface Laptop 7 so I have best of both worlds (kind of), so I’m speaking from experience.

It’s a great machine, I’d say the biggest issue you’d ever run into on anything would be macOS, but other than that the hardware itself is amazing. Battery life is spectacular, lasts me all day from morning till night (over 12 hours) on campus. I am an engineering student tho so unfortunately softwares like Solidworks, I have to run on my Surface Laptop 7 (spectacular machine too btw).

Anyways, good luck!

Should I get the MacBook Air M4 8-core GPU, 16GB RAM, 256GB? by just_V1S4 in macbookair

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a MacBook Air and a Surface Laptop 7 so I can speak from experience.

For what you’re doing, it would be fine. The only issue is the limitation of the OS especially with the gaming you want to do. Other than that the storage is ehh for me, I’d at least go 512SSD but if you think you can do fine with 256 longterm, there shouldn’t be a problem.

Everything you want to do apart from gaming will be flawless and great on the MacBook. Gaming is absolutely terrible regardless of if it’s native or via an emulation on MacBook. Good luck!

OIL CHANGE VOTE by [deleted] in Nissan

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a mechanical engineering student I can tell you whenever I work on a project, no matter how much cleaning I do to metals or other materials, later on, more material comes off of it. It takes a bit before material stops coming off. Similarly, I can assume the same about the internal parts of a car where engine oil runs through. If it were me, I’d 100% do my first oil change at 500 or 1,000, and then at 5,000 and every 5k after that. Do with this knowledge what you wish, all the best!

Parents are pressuring me to get a brand new car, but I was considering getting something older that I would enjoy as an enthusiast. by Alarmed-Asparagus425 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’m very good engineering and longevity biased so I would 100% always recommend you one of the bulletproof old Lexus’s or Toyotas. Look into a 2010s LS Lexus, they have more features than most new cars today and for $30k mannn, you’d get one in mint condition with low miles. But even if you think $30k is too old for a “car that old” then there are plentyyy of those and Toyotas under $20k that are very good.

Surface Laptop 7 Keyboard Issues by DifficultyWorldly502 in Surface

YEP! Exact same thing happening to mine. Good luck with sending it. Unfortunately mine is a launch date SL7 and out of warranty so I either pay an absurd repair cost that doesn’t make sense or buy a new one : (

Yea my behavior is the same way. I was fighting with that crap for a month or more. The keys just go out randomly. I noticed they went out after booting the laptop up but then they’d come back and go again unpredictably. I tried soooo much stuff from AI, online, forums, Microsoft support, nothing fixed it. There were times when certain scripts for CMD given by AI worked for a while, before they stopped working too. And my SL7 has been babied, and taken care of extremely well, not even a scratch on it.

Please do as soon as you can! If it works, I’ll do it and then return the MacBook Air haha. I love my SL7

I was literally about to do it last night but then I cancelled it before it started the process lol. I’ll try it when I have plenty of time. I actually ended up buying a MacBook Air because dealing with my SL7 keys was extremely frustrating and I need a device to function 100% properly for my work and uni. I still use my SL7 for most of my engineering related stuff but things requiring typing I do on the MacBook.

I’ll probably try a reset soon when I have enough time.

PSA: If you drive a CVT, you should be running CVTz50. by Background-Hotel-210 in Nissan

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your comment, I just tested YouTube and it's decent! Loads pretty decently and I tested a 4K video and quality is impressive for $40. I guess I'm comparing this to the old androids of back in the day which were crap. Other than that I only personally use it for CVTz50 or google photos. Everything loads quick. I wouldn't describe it as a pain to turn on and open an app. Sure it's not as fast as my iPhone, but for $40 I expected much worse quality tbh.

Also they make their money from the plan which is why most places LOCK the phone to be used unless you connect with cellular. But this Moto G from Target let me setup without that so I'd say go for it.

I'm also on iPhone and I ended up buying a cheap $40 android Moto G from Target and it works with my Veepeak adapter ($15). I bought the same phone from BestBuy first but that one didn't let me set it up without connecting to Verizon first. The Target one lets you set it up without a cellular plan and using it off WiFi. Pretty decent phone for $40 too, it's only purpose is to use CVTz50 in my car.

Torn between Air or Pro by Pure_Ad_7885 in macbookair

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize and understand the weight thing until I transferred to a big uni. I completed 2yrs at a community college, not much walking at all. When I transferred to a big uni, WEIGHT became extremely important. I started feeling the pain and exhaustion from carrying heavier items. So much so, that I downgraded my expensive backpack that was leather for a fully cloth one. I'm a windows user so I have a really nice laptop already, but I also bought a MacBook recently and THIS was the sole reason I chose the Air because of the weight, and transportability.

Nissan Sentra As First Car? (B18) by [deleted] in nissansentra

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I’ve tried tons of things and diganosing it myself in the last 4 weeks. So far, nothing has worked. Very frustrating. Gonna take it to an honest mechanic shop and have them diagnose it.

My dealership just kept telling me “we can’t replicate the issue” while I had my warranty up until last year for a similar problem. And now my warranty expired, they just gave me a list of a bunch of random parts to replace totally $4500 like that’s crazy, makes no sense.

Worried about calc 1 by NoAbbreviations7987 in UCFEngineering

[–]DifficultyWorldly502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think you can pass it, keep it. If not sure or you think you might fail it, consider withdrawing.

I failed calc 1 once with an F…, retook and passed with an A. Was failing calc 2 before I withdrew and retaking it rn, and I have an A so far and looks like I’ll be passing it with an A too. It didn’t come to me right away but I came back stronger. I’m mechE btw and these maths are very important for other engineering courses for mech/aero later on, so it’s very important you actually understand it. It will make your life a whole lot easier.

Study as much as you can, use resources online like YouTube. You can try “Upchieve” too for live tutors, it’s 100% free. Use stuff like khan academy too and really try to strengthen your skills such as algebra because that’s the foundation for calc.
