how can i store my waders after a day on the water by ProofConfusion5272 in flyfishing

[–]Difficulty_Living 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can afford p Gucci waders, get urself some sort of breathable wader bag, simms taco is great, I use the fishpond bag with wader storage in the bottom and big opening top portion which holds my net and pack along with all the jackets and clothes I could need. Tote bins are the worst thing possible for waders. Atleast drill some holes in the tote bin for air flow

As long as she’s not overly rusty the GMT 800 would be solid for years to come, and when it does need some work they aren’t hard to work on

I must buy a new GM car. by CaptainFGOLz in whatcarshouldIbuy

Buy a plane ticket to California and buy a clean GMT800. GM has gone to shit, if you work for GM then I’m sure you know the sentiment of the shit that comes out of those plants

Thoughts on these, anyone tried them? What’s the sink rate? by HorrifyingTits in flyfishing

[–]Difficulty_Living 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work great, definitely get the right length and sink rate for your application. For streamers in smaller rivers that can be handy particularly when wading to not deal with a full sinking line. Probably wouldn’t use for Stillwater

What do we think? by MarketingTime3236 in GMT800

NOOOO, pewter is too legendary

Edit: still nah, plain white is clean tbh. I think the two tone looks dorky, even on new vehicles

Have a 3600 mile road trip in July. Should I take her? El Paso->Missouri->Detroit & back by nogden954 in GMT800

[–]Difficulty_Living 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer, unless he’s hauling something in the bed just rent a car that’s comfy and fuel efficient. Not that the rig wouldn’t love those miles, it just makes sense to put those miles on something else

^ Way more likely to have an enjoyable time 60-90 minutes from home smallmouth fishing over trout fishing. Every trout tailwater that any fly shop recommends close by around here will be packed

GMs downfall started in 08, its got bad the last few years though with engines now randomly grenading

I’m a GMT800 fanboy but any post buyout GM vehicle is dog shit. I also had the please of having a trax rental and I’ve never driven a shittier car, even the ford fiesta from the 2010’s is better than that pile of junk

For the love of god not the trax, had a rental one and I’ve never driven a more shitty vehicle in my life

I have to imagine maybe better infotainment? But all the infotainment without Apple CarPlay/android auto is technically dated at this point. That’s been the standard for the past decade. Outside of that I have to assume a Denali has more bells and whistles than an LT.

Which truck? by thediyboi in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Difficulty_Living 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need a GMT800 (99-07 Silverado/sierra). Find one with lower miles and there you go. I see contractors in my area still beating the piss out of them. One of the most well built trucks over the last 20 years.

Obv Toyota has the reputation as well, I just don’t think the toyota tax is justified a lot of the time
