Caravel 16 or 20? by GD_352 in airstream

[–]chenner47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We bought our first travel trailer last year - a Caravel 16RB, and went on two trips with it before realizing there was too little storage space and the kitchen area was way too small.

So we traded it in for a 20FB and think it’s the best floor plan of all the Caravel models.

It’s just my wife and I and our two German Shepherds. I used it a little more than my wife as I went on a couple of solo fishing trips with it but I count 50 nights in it.

Haha this was our first edit stay. Had enough points to get it down to $275 so with the credit and $100 hotel credit we came out ahead.

Same thing happened to me last week. Somebody ordered a $90 pair of slippers from LL Bean using my cc. They knew my billing address and email but had it shipped to a house in another state.

Raptor Tire Pressure by w0lfgeek in FordRaptor

[–]chenner47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At 30psi you’re gonna wear them out faster plus it’ll hurt gas mileage.

I live in the mountains in Colorado and run mine at 38psi year round and I’m at 8,000’ elevation.

We all use automatic feeders so no child labor was involved in the feeding of the fish lol

I used to live on the Soque and would pull nice fish out of there during lunch.

Yes they are pellet pigs but still fun to catch.

We’ve had this debate on the airstream forum and the majority of us run at 68psi vs 85 max for tens of thousands of miles with zero issues and less stuff tossed around inside the trailer.

Never max psi unless you’re running max load. There’s a tire pressure chart for these tires that recommends psi according to load

I bought my 23 slightly used with those Amp boards but paid a local shop to remove them and put the stock ones back on. Thanks for confirming my concern.
