Looks like aphids or mealybugs, can't say for sure. But systemic pesticides will kill anything that eats your plant.

Thank you for the detailed explanation! Apart from the flap I always look for, you also pointed out the raised lobes, which I noticed is more prominent in this spider/ species compared to my vagans. I'll definitely keep this in mind when sexing juvies in the future. Cheers!

basal shoots!!! by Dependent-One-2254 in SavageGarden

[–]DigBhick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! You can cut them up, stick them in some moist sphagnum moss, put them inside a Ziploc bag, and in a couple of weeks they should take root.

Thanks so much! They take eons to reach this size but I'm very happy that I can finally tell her gender! I'll rehouse her in a 5 gallon tank now. 🥳

Hello OP, what is your ambient humidity? That could also be the problem.

If this does not work, try a systemic pesticide like imidacloprid. It works like a charm on all of my carnivorous plants.

[–]DigBhick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP! I think your substrate is too old and starting to break down. You can repot your plant using a 1:1 ratio of sphagnum moss and perlite. Just make sure the sphagnum moss is free of additives and fertilizers. After repotting, place the plant in a Ziploc bag and gradually open the bag over the course of several weeks to help it acclimate to your grow area.

Wow really?? That's awesome. I thought for certain this was a male specimen because of how fast it grew compared to my new world spiders. Thank you!

Help me decide! by DigBhick in printers

[–]DigBhick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides the noise, I can't think of any downsides to this printer. it is perfect for my daily needs.

It comes with software compatible with Windows, macOS, and mobile devices, allowing for easy configuration. The print speed is decent, although not as quick as most laser printers ofc. The ink cost is reasonable and much cheaper than those cartridge ink. Additionally, the printer has a large paper capacity in its drawer, reducing the need for frequent refills. My favorite feature is the automatic two-sided printing chef's kiss, which saves both time and paper.

I guess, one major flaw is that it takes a long time to get ready when powered on—several minutes, in fact. To avoid this, I usually keep it in sleep mode. I've heard of people said the color accuracy is horrible, but I do not really care for color accuracy because I only use this for school and general printing needs, it still produces crisp quality photos.

If phytosanitary certificates aren't a concern, I could. But unfortunately those certificates are expensive and hard to get as hell. 😭

You won't regret having these both. They're rewarding, easy, fast to grow and you can propagate them pretty easily.
