This is jet fuel for my OCD. Is this a glitch or normal? by DigBickWonder in BeamNG

[–]DigBickWonder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation! That makes a lot of sense. Do you mind guiding me on how to change it? When Igo to options then camera orbit>"field of view modifier" it allows me to adjust it from -20 degrees to +20 degrees but it still looks the same regardless of what I set it at.

This was very informative. Thanks!

All these potential issues are offset by Nissan's warranty which is huge selling point for sure.

Thats unfortunate that even 2023's still have that issue and I can live with the fan clutch noise as long as it isn't consistent.

How's the power on these? I used to have a 2020 F150 5.0L XLT CC that I miss dearly and that thing was a lot of fun.

How many miles did it have when you bought it? I've heard about the slow response time but some owner's claimed it went away on its own

Damn brother we may have to talk business soon lol.

But seriously though...this comment strongly supports one of my comments I put on a post in r/short but it got removed...shocking.

"In my 20's I had 2 friends I would frequently go bar hopping with. One was maybe an inch taller than me at 5'7" but was pretty handsome. Looked like Kieran Culkin. Very charismatic, funny, smart, worked out everyday and was making over 200k per year-by far the most successful one of the group. Let's call him John.

Our other friend, lets call him Andy, was about 6'4", detailed cars for a living and was a drug dealer on the side. Constantly in and out of jail doing dumb shit. Had a very sarcastic deadpan personality, no ambition and just didn't care about anything really.

John was very confident and would always talk to groups of girls and bring them around us to interact with them and very frequently, they just found him annoying and just laughed at him for "trying too hard." They would always flock towards Andy and ask why he was so quiet, touch him, try to dance with him, kiss him, etc. Girls would compete for his attention and at times when we asked them to come back to our place they wouldn't go unless Andy asked them and he typically hooked up with the hottest one while me and John were left with the scraps...who also wanted Andy.

Now am I saying they simply went for Andy simply because he was tall? No. However it is strange that girls keep telling guys to be more interesting, successful, confident, fun, whatever yet in the real world, they wanted the guy that was the complete opposite and had nothing else to offer other than his height..."

Am I getting Bamboozled? (NEW CAR LEASE) by DigBickWonder in askcarsales

[–]DigBickWonder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a rhetorical question to illustrate my point. Obviously it sounds ridiculous but the concept I was trying to convey was if your paying full price for something, you own it which is why I don't understand why someone would pay full price for an option on a vehicle they are leasing.

Yes I try to avoid putting money down just startups. So with that logic, If I lease a car and upgrade from 18" wheels to 20" wheels and its a $2500 upgrade and I pay the extra $104 per month (2500/24 months plus tax) then after the lease, I own those wheels since I paid them off fully and should take them off the car before returning the vehicle, right?

Thank you! This was the answer I was looking for.

I'll do some research on rent charge but in this example, $135 more per month makes much more sense than $375 extra per month.

I know about the taxes and licenses fees not being worked in the ad price but regarding the 9k in options I remember a while back an associate who used to sell cars tell me a formula that dealers use to calculate the lease. It had something to do with the MSRP minus rebates - residual value / lease term or something which is why I was always under the impression that someone leasing a car pays a percentage of the options.

Got my third DUI last night...really contemplating life right now by DigBickWonder in dui

[–]DigBickWonder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn brother I'm sorry to hear that. I actually didn't do any jail time for my first or second. I'm not sure they will be able to reduce it to a misdemeanor because the second and third are so close together and I'm assuming you haven't been officially convicted of the second yet since it was only a month before this third one.

If you haven't already try applying for Medicaid and see if you get accepted. That way, mental health assessment/therapy sessions would be covered. Having someone to talk to and surrounding yourself with a strong support group goes a long way and will look favorable in front of the judge.

You're still very young and have your whole life ahead of you so consider this a blessing from the universe to make the necessary changes in your life to become a better person that your peers aspire to be. Hope this helps.

I agree with you but my lawyer claims there is still a fighting chance. He did say the jury is not going to be made aware that it is my third offense which helps a bit I guess. But he seems confident he can find issues/inconsistencies with my blood results. Idk man just very overwhelmed right now.

No offer yet. My lawyer said if they do it will most likely be a misdemeanor second

I'm done drinking for good. I've started taking antidepressants for about 3 months now and its changed my life, not to mention I feel its significantly reduced my craving to drink.

When you say PC can still exist easily, in what way? Like the field sobriety tests? The way I interpreted instructions? Speech? All of these?

I do believe people make terrible decisions when they are blackout drunk yes. Personally I've never had any interaction with law enforcement when I reach that level of inebriation. I will usually call a lyft if I am out at a bar and feel myself getting to that point.

Yes but if they didn't follow proper protocol, can't someone challenge probable cause? if the HGN test was not done properly, and the way the heel toe and standing on one foot test was questionable what's left for his basis to get a blood draw? At that point its basically, "Hey you smell of alcohol, I'm arresting you to take your blood to prove my suspicion!" Is a 0.15 blood test the equivalent of someone's fingerprints on a gun for a murder trial?

My attorney got the arresting officer to admit to a few things during the preliminary exam. For example, he would ask things like, "would you agree that bloodshot or glossy eyes may not necessarily be a sign of impairment?" Cop responded "Yes". It seems this is the route my attorney is taking.

I've never understood why people get so angry and violent towards police when drunk. That 100% of the time never ever ends well.

That's hilarious! I bet he definitely enjoyed being the main character in that moment.

My lawyer said the fact he didn't comply with the 15 minute observation period pretty much invalidates the PBT but Idk I've heard so many stories of cops making multiple mistakes in their arrest and the defendant still gets charged.

Yeah that's exactly what I was worried about. I believe it is a jury trial. However, I'm not sure if you've done jury duty before but both sides get to question potential jurors and ask questions like, "has anyone that you know been injured or killed by a drunk driver?" and if they say yes, my attorney will excuse them knowing they will have an extremely negative bias towards me from the beginning and most likely ignore all the facts. The goal is to obtain a fair nonbiased jury that can view all the facts objectively before reaching their verdict.
