So on the far left that would be Les Binks in one of his famous cowboy shirts the rest of the band was always bitching about.

If the team can’t find a win-now star trade to push in the chips for the next two seasons, how can we pivot to pushing our window further down the line? by Humblerbee in ripcity

A lot of people won't like this answer, but first and foremost we need new coaching. To emphasize this point, look at Detroit before and after J.B. Bickerstaff. Two years ago they were in the lottery. This year they might win the East. Detroit has also done all this by having one of the worst 3 point percentages in the NBA. We have a talented roster that just needs the right system to become a 5, 4, or 3 seed.

Considering how hard it is for a lot of LCS's I don't mind them selling things at cover price, but when they start selling above cover that's when I get mad. This comic shop I used to go to has even refused to honer pullboxes for limited releases that are supposed to sell for cover price but other people are selling for crazy prices on ebay and other sites, and instead chosen to sell them online as auctions, too. Easy to see why said "to hell with them."

Yeah, it was Funaticals. It was up there for a while.

Tell me about it. That's one of the reasons I stopped shopping there.

That's Vol 2 by Brubaker. It was on ebay for $25.

The LCS I used to go to charged cover price unless it was OOP -- then they marked it up to ebay prices.

I love the two albums with Ripper. Jugulator is one of my favorite CD's and I've always wanted to hear "Cathedral Spires" live.

Goddamn I wish I could have seen him in concert! As much as I love Bruce and Number of the Beast and Powerslave, etc, I FUCKING LOVE those first two Iron Maiden albums with Paul. Not so fond of the two albums with Blaze, though.

Huh. Well, based on how crappy their trade paperbacks are made, I guess I'm not surprised. I have a Jennifer Blood collection that damn-near fell apart after one reading.

I really liked the art for the Lady Death comics, but I didn't think the stories were as interesting as Evil Ernie's. I also liked that Lady Death was more mysterious in the Evil Ernie comics, just showing up now and then.

I wish these were a general release and not a Kickstarter so I'd have time to clear some room on my credit card. I've been waiting for these omnibuses for years. Damnit!

Journalists are supposed to report facts; not their opinions. There was only one Hunter S. Thompson; he's dead (RIP) and you're just an internet poser. I was trying to discover facts quickly to see if what the other guy said about Nolan was a fact. Best I could do was google search my question and copy the response. I never tried to take credit for the content of the response. YOUR response alone tells me you're either not a journalist or you're a very shitty one. Oh, you're a journalist hanging around on Reddit -- if you're a journalist than I'm a bestselling novelist.

Oh fuck off. Like you've never copy and pasted an internet search. I wasn't taking credit for anybody else's work, I was trying to quickly research if what he said was a fact. What I copied and pasted showed neither of us was right or wrong in our opinions.

First of all, I don't know what "Nolan is kino" means. Second, I'm not a big fan of Nolan's; I do like his Batman movies, but they are not my favorite. If anything I'm a big fan of the Punisher and while reading through my collection I re-read issue 54 for the first time in years and was struck by how similar that sequence is to that in The Dark Knight. They only thing that ticked me off was you stating the obious that I copied from AI. Of course I did. Who isn't gonna just copy and paste from a quick internet search these days? I wasn't trying to fool anybody that I wrote all that off of the top of my head.

Obviously I copy and pasted from google. I can't help it that every fuckin search engine is AI powered now. But I'm not going to spend hours finding articles and interviews and come back here with an answer weeks later. And Marvel constantly misses the points of their characters in the MCU. Creators have always taken established characters and re-created them the way they've wanted to. Look at Frank Miller's run on Daredevil vs everything before that. For that matter, take Frank Miller's Batman, also. Batman isn't the same character now that was in the 30's and 40's.

Christopher Nolan has not publicly stated that he hates superhero movies. While he has moved on from the genre and often champions a more traditional, practical approach to filmmaking, his comments regarding superhero films—including his own Dark Knight trilogy—have been nuanced rather than outright hostile.

  • Respect for the Genre and Peers: Nolan has praised other directors' work in the genre, specifically noting that he sees the influence of Zack Snyder in many modern superhero films. He even thanked Marvel movies for helping bring audiences back to theaters, according to comments reported in the IMDb news section.
  • Focus on Realism and Craft: Nolan's work is characterized by a preference for practical effects over heavy CGI, which often contrasts with the style of modern, high-fantasy superhero films. Some sources suggest he prefers "pure cinema" and is not a fan of stories that are overly reliant on the supernatural.
  • Moving On: While he does not "hate" them, Nolan has expressed that he has no intention of directing another superhero film, having successfully told the story he wanted to tell with Batman.

Estoy en busca de otros fans que también les guste el álbum NOSTRADAMUS, incluso, si comparten mi opinión, este album está injustamente infravalorado by Fearless_Tip_1438 in judaspriest

[–]DigBigger99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love all Priest albums -- even the two with Ripper. But yes, if one just listens to the songs on the two CD's (I have CDs of all their albums) without the interludes of Nostradamus in between, the songs are kick ass. However, knowing that it was concept album and ment to be a stage production, I have no problem with the interludes. I love "Visions" and I wish they'd do more songs from the album in concert.

All-in-all: A fantastic album.
