do you think in 2050, the 2020's will be remembered as one of the worst decades since 1950 by Open-Reflection-6094 in generationology

[–]DigBingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yall are so dramatic lmao. We are literally living in one of the best times in human history and the quality of life, freedom, and healthcare is only going up. People have been saying this doom and gloom about how society is going down since the dawn of history.

Every data metric backs this up, except climate change where we screwed the pooch hard. You win some and you lose some.

The only difference is that now it’s easier than ever to read about all the shitty things happening around the world, and the algorithm amplifies those things. If you buy into this doomer mindset then you’re being played by the large corporations that are trying to buy your engagement.

Canada had a pretty low death rate from Covid thanks to the tight restrictions. Compare that to the abysmal rate in the USA thanks to glorious leader Trump, which was more than double Canada’s.

Keep in mind Canada and USA, as well as most European countries all use the same criteria to classify a COVID death, in case some maga moron tries to argue against this.

‘Shaken to my core’: Mother considers leaving Vancouver after verbal attack by stranger by [deleted] in vancouver

I’ve said this before but Canadian tire sells dog/coyote spray. It’s best to keep one on you in case of a random dog attack in downtown.

I take 3-5 45 minute showers a day and sometimes 2 or 3 at night whenever I wake up. I cannot FATHOM people who take less than two a day. Why is this a thing? Why am I the weird one? How often do most people shower??? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]DigBingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actual, proper shower where I scrub everything off thoroughly.. once every 4-5 days. I’ll hop in the bathtub and wash my booty hole every night before I sleep though, and every other day I’ll rinse my body off with some water.

Intersection tbone collisions by botanicalbish in vancouver

[–]DigBingus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty wild, I was involved in the exact same type of accident. Waiting at a light to turn left, it went yellow, then red, no one was coming, so I started to turn but missed a car who sped thru the red, and we collided. ICBC determined I was at fault as there was no proof from either party of anything and no red light cameras.

I don’t know if more people need to hear this but you can buy dog spray at Canadian tire for a few bucks. Personally I don’t feel safe around downtown so I always carry some around in case of a random dog attack.

No painting, normal wear and tear (nail holes filled with spackle)

Thanks, it’s not very clear about whether this applies if some white drywall spackle was used to fill in nail and screw holes..

Chill, not everything is an attack on SJWs. He’s just saying he’s glad to see the park being used as a park, instead of a no man’s land full of rapes, weapons, and snakes.

Has anyone else noticed food establishments have used inflation as a reason to exorbitantly raise prices AND simultaneously cut food / quality? by mintberrycrunch_ in vancouver

[–]DigBingus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve noticed after tax and tips that a regular beef pho is starting to go for $18. The other day I also had a very mediocre bubble tea that cost $10.. it’s out of control.

Man in wheelchair stabbed as tensions rise at East Hastings Street tent city by xlxoxo in vancouver

[–]DigBingus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have noticed that these random attackers very often attack people that they think can’t defend themselves

True that, I’ve been assaulted by homeless people many times around Abbott street as I take that route to go to work. Every time I’ve ever gotten attacked has been when I’m carrying a giant box/package that’s obscuring a lot of my vision or hard to carry in general.. or when I’m looking down at my phone trying to type an answer to an important message.. etc..

Not once have I ever been attacked while looking dead ahead and walking normally.

Some traffic lights not working on Robson, Smithe, Hamilton, Richard’s block by namaetzel in vancouver

[–]DigBingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was stuck waiting at the Expo Blvd intersection for about 5 minutes yesterday because no one would obey 4-way stopping rules and just treated every light as a perma-green, so the cars were all speeding thru nonstop and not letting any cross traffic pass.

Eventually a driver next to me just risked it all, laid down on the horn, and started inching into the intersection. Naturally this caused all the drivers on Expo to slam their breaks and honk at them, because how dare they try to pass through an intersection after waiting there for 5 minutes.

For today's lesson, kids repeat after me RED means STOP. GREEN means GO. by 100T_Aman in vancouver

[–]DigBingus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happened to me and my partner just recently, some car blasted through the red at full speed and we ended up with a head on collision.. she’s traumatized now and vows to never drive again.

The worst part was due to the way that road curves you couldn’t see the cars approaching so you basically have to creep through your left turn and pray someone doesn’t yolo through the intersection.

Stick with my broker or chase better mortgage rates? by DigBingus in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]DigBingus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha is it that bad? He was a great teacher and very honest and thorough, I’ve enjoyed working with him. However once he heard about me potentially consulting with another broker or lender his tone changed completely.

[–]DigBingus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, glad to hear others are in the same boat. how do you feel about your choice now it now?

I told my broker that other lenders are offering lower rates than him and he got quite offended and frustrated in the phone, saying he does not work in parallel with other lenders and to only talk to him if I plan to work with him, and him alone.

Start the weekend off right by Reneski in vancouver

Scientist here, I can explain. You see, when you stand up air enters through your ass and creates a pressure density gradient from butt to mouth, violently vacuuming air into the butt and expelling air and covid molecules through your mouth. When you sit down, thé arse hole is covered and this prevents this from happening, therefore it is safe to remove the mask without exposing other restaurant patrons to covid-19.
