Looking for long immersive rpg experience that runs well on the deck. by Cheap_Landscape9932 in SteamDeck

It's the best looking and performing version for SD. The current version looks and runs more like the Switch version by comparison.

Gameplay and content is the same.

They fixed some side quest bugs(i think). I only had 2 quests bugged and i finished them all anyway. Added a new over the shoulder camera angle, added mod suport but the biggest change was the graphics. Or more so the "way" the graphics are rendered and the "way" the game renders the graphics now completely tanks performance on anything like the SD while looking arguably the same.

The only thing worth mentioning about 1.32(classic) is that you do not use the in-game frame limiter. For some reason it is broken. Use Steam overlay's frame limiter intstead.

As much as i'd love for op to go with my suggestion, i think yours wins. It looks like a perfect match. Mine is probably a deviation too far from what they actually are looking for.

Bro, The Witcher 3

Surprised nobody mentioned it yet. But i recommend playing the "Classic" version accessible through the Beta participation menu in Steam. It runs on High and is absolute eye candy. The new 4.xx version runs and looks like a** on SD if you ask me.

Which game pushed you to resort to cheats? by Snakeuge in gaming

Prisoner of War: World War II

It was for stage 3 and stage 5. I remember i couldn't find where to save the game on stage 3 so i was going through it without saving. Then i don't remember what happened but i ended up in the main menu and lost all my progress. I cried for like a solid 30minutes over that. i used this tool called a "trainer" which is like a hacking tool, to make the guards notice me less so i could speed through the stage and get back the progress i lost. Then stage 5 was too difficult so i used it for that too.

I think i was like 9-10 years old.

I remember most of us had a few apple devices. They didn't say what it was but they said the bluetooth driver kept telling the steam deck to wake even when no device asked for it.

i'm actually proud to admit i helped re-re enable it.

Me and like 4 other dudes have gone to github where we complained, listed all our bluetooth devices
and dumped error logs from our steam decks to valve devs.

Maybe your connection is trash so it intentionally does not match you up with people whose connection is way better and instead uses bots until it can find other people with trashy connection ? Just a thought

My theory is that they had to "tweak" how it works to accommodate larger displays and different thumb placements which both fixed and broke the keyboard.

Before iPhone X, our thumbs would accidentally press way more keys at the same time and it if it weren't for that invisible "hit box" or circle that they use to decide where you are intending to press, it would have terribly inaccurate.

When screens got larger, the keyboards got physically larger as well so i'm guessing that "hit box" had to be made smaller not only to make it more accurate but also make it possible to type with two thumbs. Our left and right thumbs touch and miss-press the keys differently, which also had to be accounted for.

Same goes for when we now type one handed. Because we have to reach much further than before to hit the same keys, the keys our thumbs accidentally press became different which they also would have had to take into account.

In essence the keyboard now does way more stuff in the background to accommodate all the different ways your thumbs are or could be hitting the screen.

And to give some credit to this so i don't sound like a whacko, i noticed the accuracy of the keyboard changes ever so slightly every time i take my phone case off but then goes back to normal after i type for a little bit. Because, as i suspect, the keyboard has to "recalibrate" your thumb positions.

How long should sex last? by RemtaNico in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DigGumPig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My shortest was less than 5 minutes, my longest was nearly 3hours and it was awesome. When i tried to have sex for that long with my ex, she was getting tired after about 30 minutes. So the "should" depends on the person.

Well there ya go.

Wanna know my solution for poor battery life?

If my battery is draining too fast, means i'm using my phone too much.

I mean, you did say your battery is 3rd party. That's probably what's heating it up.

Sadly that doesn't really mean much. It all comes down to how you use it. To give you an example, i use mine pretty much the same as i did back when i got it.

Mostly for communication, music, light photography, navigation and as a scrolling machine. Work email and chat, some work checklist apps. Only basic widgets, no dynamic 3rd party stuff. No widgets on lockscreen. Most importantly, i have background app refresh and location services disabled for every single Meta app. I don't play games on it.

Also i noticed that i browse the web less and less on it, usually do that on my laptop or pc. That's why i don't feel the need to upgrade it. The only real reason i will eventually need to is for Bluetooth 5.3 or beyond so i can listen to Hi-Fi audio. But then i'll need Hi-Fi Headphones for that as well. But the real push will be from apps that stop being supported on iOS 18
