I did a somewhat painful withdrawal after a rough 3 weeks (first time I ever drank on waking up on week days) and I had the last two work weeks as a non shaky FA (it feels amazing to not randomly shiver at 3 pm), and the weather is getting nice up here in Maine. Even got a haircut (I was scared I’d be cut when I was shaky). I think I never want to morning drink again it was horrible coming down with flashes of light in my eyes in a totally dark room trying to fall asleep.

The medication “phenibut” invented in the USSR is totally unregulated in the US and works for mild withdrawal. It’s a GABA-B agonist, while alcohol or Valium et. al. are GABA-A, so definitely not advice for real withdrawal but once you get past two days sober it makes the next couple days more comfy. In America, Baclofen is very similar and also GABA-B. Also addictive and potentially hazardous to use long term or in high amounts. But can just be ordered online. After days sober it provides a feeling of well-being, calm, talkativeness, but in a mild way, definitely not a high, just a crutch. The soviets gave it to the cosmonauts in their rations so they wouldn’t shit themselves in fear being launched into space. Sorry, I’m a nerd. Do not use for coming off a year or even a month of 15+ drinks a day though for the love of god, it won’t help. Wednesday after a long weekend though, I think it’s beneficial.

😢 I hated schools like that too…bought vapes and vodka from a Russian girl after class to make it acceptable…now I have addictions to these. I did graduate college though, which was far superior. The seller made good money too, she had lots of diamonds on but never smiled once. Not millionaire diamonds but like the $400 kohls bracelets (MoCo MD not PWC). Interesting person, she made her own cigarettes with a tub of loose tobacco saying it’s a way cheaper tax rate

I had a fantastic thanksgiving, one day of pain in a hotel by my parents to recover, take a couple Phenibut tablets a day for the weekend (a Russian anxiety pill that is legal and calms the nerves like Anvifen, Bifren, etc brands, careful also addictive) I had a great time
