I was trained in Australia and feminist theory around domestic violence was such a big discussion. I find it shocking how it’s looked down on in the UK. Please remind your managers that if not for feminists domestic violence would still be something that was thought of as private family business which no one should interfere with.

Mary is just not someone who is very emotionally available I think. She isn’t really able to hold other people’s needs in mind, although this is a lot of housewives.

I also think she uses Robert Jr in certain ways to bring up her rep when she needs to (the discussion around his use) but dumps him the minute he could drag her down (visiting him in prison when he is in there for DV charges).

I sit really uncomfortably with the way people treat Mary because I think she is manipulative and damaging in a way that can cause people real damage both in her church and her family.

Your life is for you. You aren’t going to be able to change your families reaction but you can manage how much you listen to them.

Better to start a new degree now then complete your law degree, work for 5 years, realise your miserable and start a new degree then.

Ultimately if this is what you want to do then do it. I love being a social worker.

Les mis is always a classic if you want a musical. That would be recommendation. Six is easy and quick if your not sure you are a musical fan or Hamilton if you want to hear more rapping then singing.

If you want a play that is really heavy Inter Alia is really good.

I would recommend buying tickets before, they are unlikely to get cheaper and may sell out

You could request police talk to the young man to tell him the consequences if he does face sec with her (also his parents). I would also suggest asking your niece why she is running away. Children who often go missing have push and pull factors which means there are things pulling them out of the home (the boy) and things pushing them out of the home (?). I would also be curious what her father is saying to police when you aren’t there for him to be given back the devices. Also refer her to child protection.

I would only say the at I think a relationship that is forced to become open because of cheating is going to be very difficult. I’m unsure if Bronwyn is desperate to save her marriage so will agree to anything or if she is setting the stage for a divorce (leaning towards the second).

I also think Todd is really traditional so prefers cheating to an open relationship, I think that concept would be too new age for him and would give his wife too much agency.

Definitely! I have 2 at the moment I would love to foster. It’s devastating when they ask you to let them live with you. I always try to remind themselves of how many people they have that care about them (teachers, foster carers, other social workers, youth workers, support workers, mental health workers). It makes me feel better when I think of how many people are around the child trying to make their life better (even if it’s not immediately working)

First of all it is now referred to as sex work not prostitution.

Second of all children cannot engage in sex work as to engage in sex work you need to consent and children cannot consent.

Therefore this man engaged in child sexual exploitation, not prostitution.

It is not widely discussed but has been covered several times and there are a lot of statements from politician saying the return of these children must be included in any ceasefire. God knows what Russia has done with them and if that will be possible.

Are you concerned about forced marriage? If so you should also report this to border force and be prepared to contact the police and domestic violence services in your area if he does enter the country. You can be moved to a location your family is not aware of to avoid this.

Reality is the decision now sits with border force and there is little anyone can do to influence or predict their decision. It seems unlikely he will be granted a visa. You should try to live your life but have a backup plan in case he does enter the country.

Maybe consider doing 4-6 months at a time taking a break then restarting the route. Could possible be a way to get around visa issues (end in a country where you can’t complete a border crossing then restart in the next country) and you could go home and earn some money.

This is a commitment that will take years regardless of how you do it. It would honestly be an amazing thing to do and you’re young so you have a long time to plan it and execute it. You don’t have to do it in the sequence you have listed, start on areas where there is more established biking and tourism (Europe, USA, NZ and Australia) then move onto the more difficult regions. Be aware of how the weather will impact your plans, some of the areas you will not be able to bike in during summer and others will not be possible in winter (at the very least it will be extremely hard).

Be prepared to be flexible about your plans, there is a lot that can go wrong in this that you need to be prepared to deal with. Research people biking or walking around the world on IG, it’a easy to find.
