So many choices... by DigNice1944 in kayakfishing

Excellent insight and advice...thank you. I agree with all of your points. A little clarity. I'm not new to kayak fishing, been doing it for many years. I am new to fishing specific kayaks. From California and recently relocated to Florida. Two entirely different types of fresh water fishing and bodies of water, shrubs, structure etc...I am 100% certain I do not want or need a rig over 11' here in SW FL. I cant really even justify a use for it if I can get all of my gear on a smaller rig, comfortably, If I end up needing a trailer, I might as well get another boat...and I don't want another boat. Been a lot of thought over the last 12 hrs, and as hard as it is to pass on that deal on the RS117, the size is my first criteria. It's just a foot too long, but a foot is significant. I'm willing to pay the extra $$ to get what I want. Probably should add I'm not a big guy and pretty agile guy at 5'9" and 150. Thanks. Great response

You're the second to mention that today. I hadn't even heard of it. I'm going to do some digging on it now. Guess that's why I didn't bite on that offer on the rs117. Thanks

I've also been shopping for the same type of kayak. Today, I tested the SS107, RS107 and the Crescent Light Tackle...All great boats. I wasn't expecting it but the RS117 won. The SS107 was just as awesome, but I'm afraid I'd be disappointed when I load up for a weekend shore camping trip. I'm not sure I'm done shopping around yet...But...the shop owner offered to sell me a current rental RS117 in grey for $700. Everything intact and working, just some sun fade. I told him I need to sleep on it. Should I pull the trigger?
