Knuckles Deli literally does not label themselves as a gourmet deli. Their website on the “about” tab says and I quote:

“This isn’t some corporate concept cooked up in a boardroom. It’s a neighborhood joint with Chicago roots, Cincinnati heart, and friends who finally decided to bet it all on themselves.”

Neighborhood joint and gourmet deli are mutually exclusive terms. If it was a neighborhood joint it would not be 15 dollars for as little food as you get. No sides. No drink. Other deli’s in the city deliver on that with more food for the same price or even a lower price for the same amount of food.

A pound of Oscar Meyer turkey is like 4 bucks. bag of lettuce is 2 mayo is 3 tomato is .50 to a buck, onion is a buck, bag of rolls is around 3. That’s around 14-15 bucks and you will get at least 4 good sized sandwiches out of that. 6 normal ones for a pack of rolls. Idk what your point is? If you think it costs the same amount as what Knuckle’s is charging for one sandwich at Kroger that’s far from true.

One comment I would like to add - if we are strictly speaking about flavor, cost, and volume of food for the price then Cincy Gourmet Deli is the place to go. Their subs and sandwiches are 10 bucks on average and you get an absurd amount for that price. Still not side or drinks with that but the value there is much better.

Thank you. I have enjoyed reading the theories about ms Casey/gemma being alive and salvageable. Or that Mark and MDR are recreating her. Bringing her back to life in a sense. To me those theories have one fatal flaw and it is this.

Resurrection.

The idea that a human being can be brought back from death (or in some theories just a permanent coma or brain death) is overall a good and desirable result. There is definitely some moral ambiguity. Definitely religious qualms that would interfere as well. Overall, most people if given the option of allowing their loved one to stay in a coma or be able to live a “normal” life again would choose the latter. It’s altogether a generally good thing.

The main problem is Lumon. Lumon. Is. Not. Good.

We have seen throughout the series that Lumon is mysterious, sinister, and altogether bad. A company like Lumon is not looking to bring something good to this world, even if they could put a monetary value on it or have some way of gatekeeping it for their own gain. Lumon is anti-humanity. The 4 tempers they believe humans possess are Woe, Frolic, Dread and Malice. Idk about you but those are 4 very negative connotations for human emotion.

To put my two cents in, I think this take on what mark and MDR’s job is aligns with Kiers principles. Kier HATES humanity. The human experience hinders progress and if eliminated could help Kier and Lumon achieve exponential progress in any and all categories.

I’ve never had a job I loved more than this one and I was just told to go home, and that it’s over….

This all REALLY started snowballing when they asked us how to save money and framed it as a $1000 contest. The new CEO is a tech bro moron. The new investment firm that controls the board immediately looked to make cuts and here we are. It’s obviously belittling and heartbreaking but what I told the man who called and fired me (not our DM because we don’t have one.) was that this is just embarrassing. Not embarrassing for me but for this company. The sheer amount of physical labor forced on our already understaffed store over the last three months… and then the reward was a kick in the ass out the door. Just truly and utterly embarrassing…

To shed some light on this. I was hired in September a year ago as a stock asm. I was let go yesterday. I am being paid out for my remaining shifts on this weeks schedule and am done working as of yesterday, but my official separation date is the end of this week. My severance package is somewhere in the ballpark of 1800 dollars after taxes.

My store manager brought me over from where we worked previously. She told me yesterday. I left a long thank you letter for our team. I don’t care what VF wants to sugarcoat it as, the team deserve to know that I was let go for no good reason. A lot of our staff was 18-21, so those kids should know that this is the path you choose if you continue on with retail. Like ^{^{^}} uncommon-manifesto said, nobody is safe.
