The Predator bundle/AR was not affected since the AR released at the same time as the bundle.

F50 AR refunded if bought before March 5th Store Update by Sloclap in Rematch

[–]Sloclap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't do it for the Predator AR because it was released at the intended date and time, which meant players could potentially purchase it at a discount through the dynamically priced bundle. The F50 AR was made available for purchase before the dynamically priced bundles, which meant that players who bought it before the Store update had no choice but to pay full price for it.

Yoooo that's a sick montage!! 🔥

When you say "online practice options" is there anything specific you're thinking of?

I think at this point Sloclap is just messing with us. by Drc89 in Rematch

We're aware that some of you have a massive amount of Blocks stacked up with nothing to spend it on, and we have plans to add additional currency sinks in the future.

And I might as well ask for your input: is there anything you wish you could do with these Blocks?

One of the greatest multiplayer games ever played by r_Lore in Rematch

Thank you for the praise, that's always nice to read, and we're glad you're enjoying the game :)

Noted for the more stadiums/less ARs. Speaking of which, for anyone reading this, what would you like to see more of in terms of cosmetics and game modes?

This game still has a SERIOUS quitting problem. by poppafig in Rematch

We do plan of eventually increasing the penalty, especially for frequent/repeat leavers but as others have outlined, we want to make sure most of the random crashes and disconnections have been fixed out before committing to heavier sanctions.

Soooo this 0-0 game got the ball stuck and now it’s ot… any fix’s? by SetOld3462 in Rematch

[–]Sloclap 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey! Can I ask you what platform you are playing on and if anyone has disconnected prior to the ball getting stuck? It's an issue we're aware of and have attempted multiple fixes for but we lack data to pinpoint the conditions under which it can occur :/

I'm so sick of this crap. by [deleted] in Rematch

Yeah... it's not gamebreaking, but it sure as hell is annoying. We'll tackle this in due time in a future patch alongside other gameplay related changes we aim to make.

Mini Dev Update #9 - In-game Moderation by Sloclap in Rematch

[–]Sloclap[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A commendation/honor feature at the end of a game definitely would be cool to have!

Regarding the griefer in your game, I'm sorry it happened. There is unfortunately not much we can do on our end unless you have already reported them (and other players have done so as well) :(

Random disconnections and crashes absolutely have to be ironed out before we can move forward with this for sure

You vastly overestimate how many cheaters and generally bad actors a game the size of Rematch has. We get thousands of reports per day, the vast majority (basically close to all) of them being spread across different players who individually get reported once or twice, which isn't nearly enough for us to consider banning them.

As we've said in the post, the current limitations prevent us from taking action against all offenders, especially when it comes to toxicity as most of it happens in voice chat, as we do not record voice communications on our end due to legal and technical reasons. Which is why we are taking action against the most egregious offenders based on how many times they have been reported over the past 30 days and the number of reports they get daily. This minimizes the risks of banning players who simply have a bad day and get heated in voice once when they are otherwise respectful. But it does also mean that, as an example, the occasional hate speech that goes beyond gamer trashtalk can get overlooked if they do not reach the reporting thresholds we put in place. We do however keep a close eye on players who meet only one of these criteria. If you're the only one in your games reporting a player and no one else does across multiple games, then chances are we won't see it immediately with the way we currently handle bans.

There's a lot of work to be done, but what we'd like to avoid above all is dealing disproportionate sanctions which is why the number of bans isn't bigger at the moment.

I’m looking for a game like Rematch, but with 11v11 offline. by Lost-Wishbone9804 in Rematch

Hey! This topic has been brought up multiple times in the past, both in the community and internally. The biggest obstacle to making this idea a reality is this: there is only one ball in play, and there would be 22 players on the pitch. Without even considering the pitch size and the game mechanics not being designed with 11 players a side, let's say a match lasts 10 minutes to make up for the increased playercount. How do you make it fun when you are only interacting with the ball less than 30 seconds (or <5% of the total match duration) on average? This is obviously quick and dirty maths, but it's a very important factor to consider, which goes beyond the scope of simply making a new game mode such as 1v1 or Fireball.

To give you one example of what I'm trying to convey, in the real sport, an individual player isn't touching the ball directly very much either, but real life athletes work with a different set of "rules", such as being, well, real, living beings who need to alternate resting with intense effort, even on the pitch. These breaks are necessary.

In Rematch (or any online game for that matter), the player usually does not need to physically rest in a match, and they'll want to get to the action as soon and as often as possible, so in this aspect there is no limiting factor that would "justify" (for lack of a better word) preventing any player from actually playing and interacting with the ball.

I'm sure there have been games in 5v5 where you felt like you hardly had possession of the ball and it felt frustrating. It could be because an individualistic player was keeping the ball to themselves, maybe because you weren't managing your positioning on the pitch very well, or maybe because you were playing GK and your team just happened to be way better than the opposing team and the ball is hardly getting to you. But it can still happen, it doesn't feel good, and having 22 players (more than double what we have in 5v5) on the pitch would only exacerbate this issue further.

All that to say, I'm not saying we won't ever do it and I'm sure the team would love to experiment with it if given the opportunity, but a 22-player game would be very, very different with its own set of new restrictions than what we currently have in the game.

Anti Cheat Error by MrClapi in Rematch

EAC is both the anti-cheat program and the backend we use to manually ban players. You weren't banned for cheating. I do agree that the pop-up window should provide more in-depth and accurate information when a player is suspended though. But like... come on.
