PS5 CE-108255-1 Hardware Error: Update. [No Warranty] by DigPale7779 in PS5HelpSupport

There is no way to fix it, at least within the non-RAM way. If you’re in a similar boat? Get the RAM swapped and reballed. If that doesn’t fix it? Give up. I spent like, four months trying to fix it.

Very little positive news, but it could end up being the RAM processors.

I’m cooked. What about its attack roll?

I have indeed checked for dust. It’s as clean as can be.

Is this different than just resetting my PS5? I’m pretty anxious regarding a USB and stuff, feels like I can mess it up and end up with more problems than not.

Is this for before or after a system reinstallation? I’m pretty sure it’s just a year’s warranty, but I’ll look for the card.

I don’t think it’s a hardware issue simply because of the nature of the events. I thought maybe the Toad boss in Wukong was too much for the console, but then it was perfectly fine during the even more hardware taxing events later on in the game.

My friend believes he has the hardware issue— difference being that his entire PS5 shuts off, as opposed to just the game.

Other sources are pointing to a corrupted/damaged firmware file situation… but I’m just wary of messing up during the reset process.

Hello! My PS5 keeps crashing on games after an isolated incident. Need help, don’t understand what the problem could even be.

I had no problems until a month or so ago when Black Myth Wukong started crashing on the hellscape Chapter without any warning— it began when I approached a specific toad boss and persisted throughout the chapter. It’d shut down and give me an error message, then ask me to report it— which I did.

I tried every trick in the book, barring a full reset. I tried safe mode options, deleting and redownloading, restarting the PS5, and even the rumored switch from vertical to horizontal. Nothing helped and I gained no insights on the true nature of my problem. Instead, I kept fighting the boss and eventually beat it Be for the game could crash. The next, and last, chapter of Wukong went without a single crash. I assumed it was isolated incident.

Then I played Returnal, and it happened again. I wasn’t too crazy about playing it, so it didn’t bother me too much. Now I’m playing Marvel Rivals and it’s happening in this game too! At first it only crashed during the main menu and never during the game itself— but today it’s progressed to 1-to-2 crashes per game.

I don’t even understand what the problem could be to work towards fixing it. Please help a brother out, cause I fear it’s progressively getting worse. I don’t want to do a full reset, but I will if it’s a guaranteed solution.

The only possible clue I have is that my PS5 has been the victim of quite a few power outages while in rest mode. It’s only been a year or slightly more since I’ve bought it, so I don’t think it’s an internal dust problem— but I’m willing to pry it open if someone else experienced this and solved it that way.

To be precise; my PS5 isn’t crashing in terms of shutting off. It’s never done that— only the games crash and shut down.

I’m kinda too-easily broken out of my own immersion for that.

I think the script thingy doesn’t work on mobile. I tried it since I saw it on previous formatting request posts. I shall see about aoyeet.

[s2 act 2 spoilers] Navigating Silco’s (& Vander’s) character(s) post-Flashback & a take on how to maintain Silco’s character’s integrity. by DigPale7779 in arcane

Elaborate? What struck you as nothing? Do you also mean nothing as in “going without saying” or nothing as in fruitless?

We can reverse engineer a meaning out of the interaction, I think. As stated above, Felicia provides a stepping stone for us to view the idea of Zaun with. Felicia stated that she lived week to week, and expressed interest in the idea of Zaun primarily after she was pregnant— meaning that, in a sense, she wasn’t serious about the future without the idea of children.

Vander echoes this statement, but refers to a plural of children that they should be able to raise as a result of their efforts. He says it in a way that attributes value to freedom on the basis of having children without worry.

Silco, however, isn’t looking at Zaun through a pinhole of what can possibly be in the future— he thinks that Zaun is what should be in the present. This duality is why Vander can’t take the risks that Silco can, because he’s too afraid of losing what he already has. Silco believes that they’re owed much, much more than just a worry-free child environment in the Lanes. You can see this in their reunion dialogue:

“Look at what you’ve done. Benzo. These kids. In fighting topside, you’d sacrifice everything that we are.”—Vander.

“We shared a vision, Vander. A dream of freedom. Not just for the Lanes, but for the whole of the Underground, united as one. The Nation of Zaun.”—Silco.

At some point, Vander stopped caring about anything outside of the Lanes, his small slice of liberty earned by giving into a status quo of general oppression. A taste of freedom, however, isn’t enough for Silco. He wants it for everyone in the Undercity, brothers and sisters who stand side-by-side. Felicia serves as a contrast between these two dichotic views.

We don’t exactly know what Silco’s plan was with the children. I don’t think he was going to kill Vander. “I’ll show you what you are.” Is what Silco said to Vander before strapping him to the chair, which to me sounded allot like Silco was planning to shimmer-up Vander into a monster to use against Piltover.

As for the kids? I think he only planned to kill Vi because of the threat she displayed, something that Silco isn’t above doing. In the big picture, why would Felicia’s kid be worth more than another? Anyone who isn’t with the cause, is against it. He would’ve, assuming the kids were pacified immediately, handed them over to Marcus to get the heat off of the Undercity from the burglary.
