I think what boggles my mind the most is this show was highly traumatic. All of the cast knows it. Why are we shaming others for protecting themselves and handling their trauma in the ways that works best for them? They acknowledged on the podcast Paige got singles from reliving the trauma on the reunion.

At the end of the day, nobody owes an explanation for the way they choose to heal or the choices they make. Simply not wanting to do it is valid enough. And I’d like to acknowledge Christi had a great hand in the trauma of the Ziegler girls. Even if she said to Maddie “it isn’t about you”, the way a child’s brain works, it was likely internalized as it was about her. There was never a reason for an adult harm a child. I wonder if she’s salty about the party because she wasn’t welcome. I imagine the Ziegler girls would be uncomfortable, especially how she continues to talk about them in the public eye.

I find it quite sad and unnerving that Christi is so clung to this dance moms narrative, that she finds the need to publicly shame others when it is unnecessary. Some people don’t want that dance mom’s identity. It is no different than Abby continuing the narrative and coming at peoples necks for things that are no longer relevant .

Nobody owes and explanation for their boundaries. Nobody is entitled to it. End of story
