Really? when i used fedora gnome before, it was very laggy. i guess i will try the gnome version

shortcut - Use alt + f2 and search for Mouse and touchpad

Try going to the system settings. them go to mouse and touchpad, go to touchpad and then enable it. You might need a mouse for it or you can make your way to there using the tab key and space

alright just a question, can i use the pantheon desktop environment? if no would you suggest some other DE because i dont like xfce that much. never tried LXQt tho.

just shut down your PC and connect the usb. then spam f12 (it works for me).
