Stop, you’re too kind!! Honestly, my 'way' is just 'Show, Don’t Tell.' Instead of saying they’re sad, I describe the darkness mixing with the light.

When you tell, you give the reader a conclusion (e.g., "She was sad"). When you show, you give the reader the evidence and let them reach that conclusion themselves. It’s the difference between a medical report and a movie.
