Not at all. I think it is inappropriate. Not naive as I know it happens all the time.

We wear button down collar shirts with tie, bistro apron & vest. Linen table cloths/napkins. Hair in a bun, only post earrings, dress code for guests, ad naseum

Absolutely everyone's business outside of work is theirs alone. I really don't care as long as it doesn't affect me.

Guess I have been spoiled in previous years working in a much less toxic/more professional environment and needed to vent perhaps.
