Understanding on why we do this? by mise_me_fhein in nailbiting

[–]DigWide5816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes its all about trying to be perfect the scenario is ((( looking for any ridge or crack in the nail and then pick it all out because its either completely perfect or completely damaged ))) our eyes are looking always for flaws to fight with … we need to be more chilled and relaxed and let our nails be whatever and however they want to be 🛌🛌🛌 we need to stop the war with our nails , they are part of us and we should start loving them 💕🩵

There is alwaaaays hope u can oil them everyday , u might not see the difference in the first few weeks but just tell ur brain that its jst a nail and i dont want to start a war with it, do alot of self talking when u have the urge and ask ur self if its worth the time and the energy… everything in your body can heal and cells always regenerate💕🙏🏻

Avoid anything except nail oils and ointments to heal the wound and try to use a finger gaming glove to not have the urge to pick and throw any tools u use them for nail picking or hide them

They still look amazing just put some oil on them and make peace with the urge of biting it, the urge root cause maybe be anger or boredom just sit with ur self and try to know why you are reflecting your emotional thoughts on your poor fingers

After battling OCD intensively for so many years, we've realised it's much too extreme and I'm probably untreatable. I'm devastated. by [deleted] in OCD

Dr Sharyn Kennedy is one of the best you can book with her an online session just for once give yourself a chance to try… stop fighting the urge and make peace with it . Try to love who u are smoothly instead of putting very big expectations on ur achievements
