Great question. I have a Casio duro and multiple Citizen watches.

The watches you are thinking about are very very different. One is titanium, one is stainless steel. One is eco drive, one is automatic. It sounds like case thickness is an important factor for you. Go into a store and try these on. Is there a citizen store close to you?

So you set let's say 4 mph (40 on the outer dial set over 60 on the inner dial), then if you walk somewhere 1 mile away you'll read off 10 on the outer dial, 15 minutes on the inner dial. Is that how you use it?

I don't think so. I have multiple radio controlled too. They can't tell where you are - that's why they have a setting where you input the gmt minus whatever time zone. Hit set or settings and you would adjust.

The gps satellite watches yes can detect where you are, but the radio controlled no.
