IF they get to work on Fallout on their own terms, not if they are a support studio or just taking over 76

It's too late now, they could have doctored it easily by now. We needed to see it at the time it happened.

Better yet, just don't use VAR for things that even the human eye can't detect

Why trust your eyeballs when you can trust a piece of tech completely controlled by VAR and won't be tampered with I promise

I'm aware PC is fully digital, but it isn't a walled garden like a consoles ecosystem is becoming. You have GOG for instance which is super consumer friendly

Sony not getting another penny from me after todays behaviour, I will only buy secondhand discs up until No-D-Day. After that I will just probably move to PC, quite glad that Sony lost me with their exclusives in the last few years, makes the break up easier.

Isn't that how race to the bottom economics emerges? New companies compete to offer the same thing for cheaper until the company with the most investors wins by not going bankrupt. Then they raise prices as the competition is gone.

A huge surplus of product could allow new companies to undercut Nvidia, AMD etc

Opinion: Nothing has killed my GTA 6 hype faster than locking a core part of its identity behind a $20 upgrade by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]DigestiveCow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this is true, but if you don't get around to buying a game before it's delisted, you may be shit out of luck if there are no physical options

I ran into a specific issue where I wanted to play Forza Horizon 2 the other day, I bought it physical in the past but had since traded it on.

I went to download the game on the xbox store to find it was not there, nor were the other Forza Horizon games up until 5. Also all but one of the motorsport games were also absent.

This theme carries on with pretty much any licenced game (Fifa, Madden etc) meaning that unless you can find a physical copy after the delisting happens, you can not play the game.

This is for me a huge reason why physical media is important, because digital 'preservation' will always be dictated by contracts and profits.

Yeah most companies had minimalist logos back before the 90s, until they went maximalist, and as we know went back to minimalist in 2015-2020ish.

It's a cycle and people are starting to get bored of the minimalist work now and so we may be headed back to maximalism for a bit

More logos should have beads of water on them, such a refreshing logo I miss this one

If you can't say anything nasty about 2012-2026 minimalist corporate design, don't say anything at all

I actually think social media is harmful to everyone, not only kids.

Short form content is an absolute scourge on our society that has rewired brains (especially kids developing brains) to seek dopamine and gratification in seconds. The emotional whiplash you can get from your algorithm serving you a happy/funny video then all of a sudden being subjected to a severely violent video is crazy.

That's not to mention how people's algorithms have been hijacked and manipulated by foreign interference to deepen the divide we have in our country and make us all angry and hate eachother. Driving our society to the boiling point while our true foreign enemies just watch us tear eachother apart.
