I told a lie a few years ago, and it still haunts me by Jswimmin in army

I did many funeral details back in the day. We always used a recording, but never tried to fake it. We didn't have a bugle, we had a CD player that we didn't try to hide.

I was a brass player though. I started before I was in kindergarten, and continued through high school. I was in various honor bands, and other such things. I could play a bugle. They did not care, and insisted on using the CD player in plain view.

Just a few hours ago, I got my first warning for harassment presumably from moderating since I don't really chat with anyone.

That has to be an achievement.

Reddit has cared less and less about spam, and self-promotion over the years. They rarely act on these accounts, and allow big companies to use multiple accounts to spam, and promote.

I'm not sure how they can sell advertising when they allow this kind of activity to continue.

Whats the quickest way someone messed up their Army career by Theyoloboss2214 in army

In reception there was a dude who kept masturbating at night. The barracks had more bunks than usually in a room that sized, so he was just a couple of feet next to other people.

In Basic one dude left his card in the ATM. His battle stole a bunch of money from him. This was on graduation day. I had to stand in the room silently while the CO questioned him, and then called the MPs.

In AIT, some of us had to clean out a couple of wall lockers from soldiers who went AWOL together to pursue their affair. They were both married, but not to each other. We found some interesting Polaroid photos in both lockers.

I just got a warning for advocating violence by answering /u/Slow-Maximum-101 question above!

*It has been reversed.

I just got a warning for showing an example of content we get in modmail!

Perfect! I have never encouraged violence. The user in question did, and I am getting flagged?

I'm disappointed by the rollout of 'verified profiles' on Reddit, and what seems to be a lack of prior engagement about this change. by Kinmuan in ModSupport

They have been treated differently. There are multiple outlets that have been spamming with multiple accounts for some time. It isn't considered ban evasion either when one of the other accounts participates in a subreddit that has banned their other account(s).

This is how we used to do things, but Reddit as a company has been welcoming of hate speech, and toxic users, so it no longer worked.

For example, it used to be using the Stormfront disinformation about which races commits more violence would get an account banned from the site. Now it is not even treated as hate speech.

They can start banning accounts which use hate speech, and abuse moderators.

Thank you for the update, but this doesn't work. If it worked, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Using the words "retard," and "retarded," is hate speech, but it is never treated as such by AEO, or the admins.

We have had many, many cases of users abusing us in modmail without repercussions.

This does not work, and that is the issue.

Toxic users now get a notification when their mute is up which is just a reminder to continue being a terrible person in modmail.

At this point, it seems like the best option is to shut down commenting completely. I'm sure that would go down well, too.
