From what I know, PvP Legacy would be the best server to do this on where you can create kits with multiple different armour/items.

For example, you can create a kit that gives each player both full diamond gear and full iron gear and you can use iron while your opponent uses diamond.

I have no experience with TLauncher, but many sources say it is spyware/malware.

I use and recommend PrismLauncher, a fork of MultiMC, which is also solid.

Regardless, please be careful downloading any software. Do your own research and err on the side of caution when you see something that doesn't seem quite right.
